Otis is at our Bucktown Adoption Center (2144 N. Wood St.) Stop in anytime during open hours to meet him! This sweet boy is neutered and fully healthy! He is up to date on vaccines. He is also microchipped! 💧: Housebreaking - Otis is still developing potty-training skills, given his fearfulness outdoors, and will need patience as he works on this. 🏠 : Crate Training - He is comfortable spending time in a crate and settles easily. 🚶: Leash walking - He is working on building his confidence on leash, and would likely do best in a quieter neighborhood 🐶: Dog-friendly - Otis loves other dogs and would benefit from having a canine companion in the home to help him build his confidence. 😺: Cat-friendly - Not sure, he has not been tested with cats while with us. We would recommend a slow introduction with a way to separate the home for each pet. 🧒: Kid Friendly - Enjoys spending time with children and has demonstrated appropriate behavior around them. Otis is the sweetest boy who’s making progress adjusting to the city life! He’s come such a long way already and is going to make someone the happiest dog parent ever. He’s sweet and gentle, always asking for pets and sniffing your hair. Once he feels safe, his silly, playful side comes out and he will keep you laughing with his awkward hops and wiggles. He would love a patient adopter who can help him continue building his confidence! 💰 Otis's adoption fee is $300, and he will make a great addition to his future home! 🧬 This pet has not been DNA tested, we are unsure of their actual breed makeup, but these are the breeds we think they look like! 🩷 Next steps: Email adopt@onetail.org with questions, or submit an application online and we'll be in touch to schedule a meeting: https://www.onetail.org/apply-to-adopt/. This beautiful gal is spayed and fully healthy! She is up to date on vaccines. She is also microchipped! 💧: Housebreaking - She has good house manners but may have an occasional accident while first adjusting to a new home. 🏠 : Crate Training - She has done well with free roam overnight and when home alone, which she seems to prefer to being crated. 🚶: Leash walking - She has good leash manners but may occasionally pull a bit to say hello to new friends 🐶: Dog-friendly - Yes! She enjoys the company of other dogs and has done well with a variety of canine friends. 😺: Cat-friendly - She lives with a dog-savvy cat in her foster home and has been doing well! 🧒 Kid-friendly - Not sure, she has not met any kids while with us Pita is such a sweet angel pup! She was a little nervous when she first came to Chicago, but she has improved a lot in such a short time amount of time. She LOVES food and using her sniffer, and would probably do great at scentwork! She’s a really easy dog overall and would likely fit into any home nicely! 🩺 Pita is heartworm positive and on activity restriction. Lady is being fostered in TX. HI! I am delighted that you are interested in knowing more about me! I am about 3 months old*. My absolute passions are EAT, MOVE and Cuddle! In fact, among my many super pawers is my super sense of smell, so I became highly excited when smelling delicious foods around me! My foster mamma and I are working hard to learn how to harness this super power! My second super power is my high level of energy and my strong curiosity, I guess that makes three super powers, isn’ it? If you don’t give me a job to do, I will find it on my own! So it is very important for me that you become my guiding light. Yet, I also want you to be soft and cuddle with me in quiet times, since I actively look for bonding, reassurance, and safety. I am good with kiddos, but I will prefer kiddos 6+ since I - for now - get excited and might scratch them by accident. Also, I highly benefit from tolerant and playful siblings who can help me balance when the puppyhood zoomies come! Did I tell you that I am already potty trained? YUP!!! I am proudly potty trained. Regarding my eyes, I have Microphthalmia which “is a congenital condition where one or both eyeballs are abnormally small” on my right eye. My foster momma is seeing a little cloudiness on my left eye*, so I am going to visit an eye specialist in mid August. However, I have not presented any issue navigating the house, jumping the stairs, or avoiding any obstacles in the backyard. I am sure my foster momma will update any relevant info after our appointment. Are you ready to love me? * By the time of this writing on July 2nd. BDRA has voted against the use of eletrical fencing effective immediately.
