Just like hisnamesake, this 6-year-old Treeing Walker Coonhound (60 lbs) is lovable, funny, and fullof personality! Uncle Buck has the classic hound charm—friendly with everyone hemeets and always ready to make you smile. He’s past the puppy stage but still hasplenty of energy for walks, sniffing adventures, and playtime.Overall, he is a very easy-going fellow. Uncle Buck’s is content with a couple of goodwalks and some belly rubs. His two favorite evening activities are supervising otherpeople’s activities, or napping on a dog bed in the warmest corner. When he sees hisfood bowl being prepared, he even tippy-taps on his big coonhound toesies in gleefulanticipation. His house manners are wonderful- he is extremely quiet and aware of boundaries. Buckhas welcomed guests with affable charm, assuming they have arrived exclusively just toadmire him. (Buck LOVES to have his head and ears scratched.) His top priority is hisown comfort – he takes a few days to learn the routine, but if you show him that he getshis meals on time, a few leg-stretches (walks or hanging out in the yard) each day, andmost of all: where he can enjoy uninterrupted naps, he will affably fit into any household.Although he’s mellow to the core, he really does value a good walk. Buck loves beingout in the neighborhood, tail wagging, looking for pets from anyone willing to have theirheart melted. He is an explorer at heart, and loves walking through tall grass, fields, andyards where he can. He’s getting used to city sidewalks and learning fast there is stilllots to see!His demeanor is happy and calm, and he gets along great with dogs, cats, and kids. Heis gentle with shy dogs and a solid match for the playful, boisterous ones. Basically,Uncle Buck is all the perks of a great dog, with almost none of the hard work.If you’re looking for a loyal, goofy, and affectionate companion, Uncle Buck is your guy!   If you have previously applied with us please email placement@midwestanimalrescue.org to reactivate your application with new interest. All fees are subject to MN sales tax and a processing fee at the time of adoption. Lalo is energetic and playful, and he is eager to learn and continue growing into an amazing companion.
