He does great with dogs of all sizes and ages. He, obviously, prefers a wrestling buddy but is equals happy with a snuggle buddy! He is pretty indifferent to the cats in his foster home. He is good with the kids in his foster family. He is great in his crate and the house.Frogger is a really fun, active, and smart boy that needs a family that willing and able to keep his brain and his body active. He is a champion runner and is a great training companion. He also would make a phenomenal working dog- obedience, tracking, agility, rally - the possibilities are endless!Frogger is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccinations. Introducing Gambit - the name's not just a coincidence; it's a testament to my ability to shape my destiny. Just like my Marvel/X-Men namesake, I've overcome my past and now look forward to a brilliantly bright future. My journey started in a rather somber place - a lonely field next to a gas station. Thankfully, kind souls would drop by, leaving me food and their hopes for a better life. One day, a persistent and resourceful lady decided to play her "pawn" and orchestrated my escape from that grim existence. Since then, I've been living with her and her doggy (and human) family. But now, I'm eagerly searching for my own forever family. Let's talk quirks. I'm a cheerful guy, but I've got some personal space boundaries. I'm protective of my face, so a home with adults or older, dog-savvy kids is my ideal match. I'm also a bit of a goofball and adore the company of other dogs. Now, I might not instantly become your best buddy; I take time to trust and get comfortable in my surroundings. But trust me, the patience will be worth it. I'm brimming with love and loyalty, just waiting for the right family to share it with. Here's the good news - I'm house and crate trained, proving that, yes, young dogs can indeed learn new tricks. Oh, and there's more - I'm pretty chill around cats, though a gentle introduction is wise. And I've been curious and respectful around a human baby, so that's a plus. One thing to note, though, is that I've had some reservations around men. Despite two years together, I haven't quite warmed up to my human's fianc and have snapped at him a few times. My name is Danny and did you know they wrote a song about me? I was really amazed when I found that out!! Do you want to sing it with me? "Oh Danny Boy....The pipes, the pipes are calling...... What? My hair is a little longer than some of my siblings so that must be part of the labby hairy-age showing, but I have the finer bones of the beagle part of my history. I am a typical puppy, love to play, eat, play, sleep and poo and start all over again. I love to play with stuffed animals, chewy toys and anything that is within my vision and reach. Sarah from the Hebrew origins means 'Princess'. What a dream come true, being YOUR princess!! I could totally get on board being treated like a princess, you know, like being spoiled rotten with lots of belly rubs and ear and under the chin scratches and whoa if you threw in some treats that'd just be the bomb...a life of a princess!! I am a total sweetheart of around 8 years, that was pulled from a local shelter where I was on 'the list'. I was shutting down being in a cold loud kennel but since being in my foster home, I've opened up and am starting to blossom. I do wonderfully with the other pups here, even occasionally trying to play. I'm also enjoying playing with stuffie toys. I even like that resident weird smelling thing y'all call a cat, I mostly just let her be (cuz ya know, she smells weird!). I also do great with the little kiddos, being oh so gentle with them. Most of the time I'm quite content to take a snooze while you're doing your thing. I am house broken and getting good at using the doggie door to come inside and am just starting to realize I can use it to go out too! I'm really getting to love this doggie door thing! I like going for our walks around the property but I'm more of a meanderer then a cruiser. I'm at that stage in my life where I like to stop and smell the flowers instead of bulldozing right over them! Coming in at around 43lbs I'm not too small that I get under your feet but I'm not too big that I take up the whole... everything. I would make a great companion type pup for someone retired or that works from home. I would even make a great first time dog parent pup. I will be good in the kennel but I definitely don't care to use one and I'm very good about not getting into things I shouldn't. Otis sleeps quietly in his crate at night. He enjoys spending his days wandering the yard, smelling the fress grass and wrestling with other dogs, both small and large. After he wears himself out, he will snuggle in for a nap. Otis is estimated to be 5 months old and 20 lbs. Since we don’t know the dog’s actual genetics, this is just a guess on breed and size when grown. All dogs have had a vet examination, are up to date on all vaccinations, have been given dewormer and heartworm prevention. Dogs over 7 months have been heartworm tested. I've been told I'm the perfect mix of playful and cuddly, and who can blame me with these adorable floppy ears? Whether I'm chasing after chew toys, going on walks, or snuggling up with my favorite human, I'm always up for a good time. I've been a great foster puppy so far. I'm smart and catch on quickly—I've even mastered using a dog door and am almost fully potty-trained! My crate is my cozy den where I sleep soundly through the night without a peep. I love being on the go, whether it's hopping in the car for a long ride or going on outdoor adventures like camping. Having another dog pal to play with is a bonus, but I'm just as happy being the center of attention as the solo pup in the house. Treats are my weakness—I'm food motivated and always eager to learn new tricks for a tasty reward. And speaking of learning, I'm doing great with leash training, so I'm ready for all sorts of adventures outside. Kids under 12? No problem! I'm great with them just as long as they appreciate my puppy energy. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe.
