Story
Copper is a very loving Treeing Walking Coonhound that was found abandoned and starving in a very remote area. He was taken to a vet to find that he had been shot multiple times with a pellet gun. Copper has been treated, neutered and vaccinated. He is great with most dogs and loves people. He will chase cats. Copper is house trained and friendly in nature. Copper successfully completed the treatment for heartworms and got a clean bill of health from the vet. He is released for activity restrictions and absolutely loves being able to play and run again! Copper would love a fenced backyard to run around and sniff around - he has quite the sniffer on him! Copper may be best suited for a family with children over 10 years old because he could knock over smaller children in his excitement. Copper is neutered and up to date on vaccines. If you love hounds, then Flint is your guy. Flint is a happy guy full of energy. He runs like a Greyhound at the race track and like most hounds follows what ever scent he picks up. This is why we must require a yard with a tall fence. Flint isn't completely housetrained, but is almost there. Flint loves people and communicates well with that expressive howl of his. He came to use with a grade 5 heart murmur. but that was easily corrected to a grade 2 after a few months on Beta Blockers. It may completely correct itself one day or he may have to be on the meds for the rest of his life. Just 2 pills a day and it's not a big deal considering what a great boy he is! You would never know there was ever an issue. Flint is healthy, strong and full of life and love. Flint is fully vetted and is ready to find his loving forever home. My father passed away a few months ago and I’m looking to find an amazing home for his dog. His name is Raleigh, he will be 5 in June! He is a beagle/hound mixed cutie and about 60lbs. (Yes I LOVE this dog and would take him if I physically could ❤️). He has medical needs (epilepsy) that is well controlled with meds (no seizures since July)… but does require someone that’s available to administer meds at certain times throughout the day. He’s amazing with other dogs, loves to cuddle, and clings to his people. TBD on cats, I don’t know if he’s been test but he’s submissive enough my guess would be he would do great.

Story
Elliot will be 12 in November and has been part of our family along with her sister since they were 14 weeks old. Elliot is a gentle 30lb girl. She loves going for walks and running outside. She loved being pet and cuddling up next to you. She is quite protective and will alert if anyone enters the home/yard, but always welcomes people kindly but with caution. Elliot loves playing with her sister and is fine around other animals but generally prefers to keep to herself. She is good with children. We love her very much and this is a hard decision to come to, but we have entered a different season of life as we now have three young children and are having a fourth child this summer - between my husband and I both having full time jobs and parenting we are no longer able to give them the love and attention they deserve. We are hoping they will find a loving home to ideally take them on together as they have been lifelong besties.
