Tad is loving, sometimes shy and anxious, sometimes playful. He is great at walks and is afraid of storms. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs, cats, and our toddler. Sadly we no longer have the ability or time to provide Tad the attention he needs. Tad deserves a home that can give him lots of pets and daily walks.

Story
If you love hounds, then Flint is your guy. Flint is a happy guy full of energy. He runs like a Greyhound at the race track and like most hounds follows what ever scent he picks up. This is why we must require a yard with a tall fence. Flint isn't completely housetrained, but is almost there. Flint loves people and communicates well with that expressive howl of his. He came to use with a grade 5 heart murmur. but that was easily corrected to a grade 2 after a few months on Beta Blockers. It may completely correct itself one day or he may have to be on the meds for the rest of his life. Just 2 pills a day and it's not a big deal considering what a great boy he is! You would never know there was ever an issue. Flint is healthy, strong and full of life and love. Flint is fully vetted and is ready to find his loving forever home. If you would like to meet him please submit an application on our website, canaananimalsanctuary.org.

Story
Meet Tune! She has been on a wild ride leading up to her stay with us. She was found with two other "sound hounds" Audio, and Aux, chasing raccoons and baying up a storm. Tune is a sweetheart who melts in your hands. She is friendly with people and loves to get attention. They came to us covered in fleas and in need of medical attention, but are on the mend and feeling great. All three of these pups are friendly with other dogs, but might do better in homes separate from each other to prevent any negative dependency on each other. If you are interested in meeting Tune, please submit an adoption form found on our website: fairfieldcountydogs.com. Once received, we will contact you to arrange a visit. Primary Color: Tri Color Weight: 47 Age: 3yrs 2mths 1wks

No Physical Fence: Physical fence required, any height Crate Trained: Skittles is crated at night, for meals and for an hour or two during the day Potty Trained: Yes Ideal Home / Adopter: Skittles would love a family with another dog and/or children 8 and older who can help her explore and burn some energy. The more people and dogs to play with, the better! She is active, loves to run, jump and chase a ball. Skittles would make a wonderful running and hiking partner. Likes: Play, fetch a ball, explore, snuggles and nap. Repeat. Preferably several times a day. Skittles loves balls and fluffy toys. Dislikes: Skittles whines some if left alone and very much prefers to be with her humans or another dog, or at least be able to see them. Additional considerations: Skittles will make a great family dog and/or companion for another dog in the home. What makes this dog special? Skittles is estimated to be 2 years old however, she is very much like a puppy. Skittles is that friend who is the life of the party and never wants to miss meeting or spending time with everyone at the party! Skittles can scale a set of stairs two at a time and will likely be a kangaroo in her next life as jumping is in her blood. She's goofy, playful, snuggly and has never met a human or dog she doesn't like. Snuggle time is a must and she will gently nudge her way under your arm for maximum snuggles. Skittle's adoption fee is $350. All fees include spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations, worming, flea and heartworm current. All dogs over 6 months of age have been tested and are heartworm negative. If you are interested in adopting, apply at rescuedohio.org to become an approved adopter and a meet & greet can be set up once approved. ##2110530##

Dolly even got her foster to let her sleep in her bed (don’t tell the other 3 dogs). Dislikes: Dolly dislikes the crate. In her previous home she was in it a lot. She's been a good girl when left out in the house and would prefer a crate free forever home where she can roam. Additional Considerations:  Dolly can still get excited in the morning and that’s when she thinks she’s an alligator.
