My name is Romeo, if you couldn't tell by my name I am an absolute love bug who is ready for all the cuddles and affection. Romeo is very sweet but he may need some time to warm up to new faces. With a little bit of time, Romeo is looking for his absolute best friend. He loves to sniff around and is so curious about his surroundings. Romeo loves to go on walks or sniff around the park, as long as he is with you he would be the happiest dog in the world. Romeo was previously an outside dog who may need some time adjusting to being an inside dog. He needs someone who has the time to help him adjust to being inside. He is so ready to live inside a warm comfy home. Romeo previously lived with other dogs and they got along just fine. It is unknown how he will react to cats or small children. Meet the new guy, Whiskey Sunrise! This treeing walker coonhound is like a shot of southern whiskey 🥃 - rough around the edges but with a heart of gold ❤️. He's still learning the ropes and has never lived in a house, but he's got a big personality and loves being adored. He is only around a year old and loves playing with other dogs and is learning that life is great! Augusta Dog Adoptions is a 501c3, foster-based rescue. We take applications online and schedule adoptions in Waynesboro, VA. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
