Ace is a young hound mix under a year old with a calm, thoughtful personality and just the right balance of adventure and downtime. He enjoys exploring the woods, sniffing around trails, and hanging out near the water, but he is not nonstop hyper or chaotic. After some fun and activity, he settles down nicely. Ace is great with other dogs and with cats. He can be a little shy when first meeting new people, but once he feels safe, he becomes incredibly sweet, affectionate, and loyal. He is the kind of dog who forms real bonds instead of instantly demanding attention from everyone he meets. He would do great with someone who wants an active companion for walks, exploring, road trips, or outdoor time, while still wanting a dog that can relax and coexist peacefully at home afterward. Currently in Oklahoma but can be adopted to approved out-of-state homes via transport. If an adoption does not work out (rare, but life happens), I always take my dogs back. Lady is being fostered in TX. HI! I am delighted that you are interested in knowing more about me! I am about 3 months old*. My absolute passions are EAT, MOVE and Cuddle! In fact, among my many super pawers is my super sense of smell, so I became highly excited when smelling delicious foods around me! My foster mamma and I are working hard to learn how to harness this super power! My second super power is my high level of energy and my strong curiosity, I guess that makes three super powers, isn’ it? If you don’t give me a job to do, I will find it on my own! So it is very important for me that you become my guiding light. Yet, I also want you to be soft and cuddle with me in quiet times, since I actively look for bonding, reassurance, and safety. I am good with kiddos, but I will prefer kiddos 6+ since I - for now - get excited and might scratch them by accident. Also, I highly benefit from tolerant and playful siblings who can help me balance when the puppyhood zoomies come! Did I tell you that I am already potty trained? YUP!!! I am proudly potty trained. Regarding my eyes, I have Microphthalmia which “is a congenital condition where one or both eyeballs are abnormally small” on my right eye. My foster momma is seeing a little cloudiness on my left eye*, so I am going to visit an eye specialist in mid August. However, I have not presented any issue navigating the house, jumping the stairs, or avoiding any obstacles in the backyard. I am sure my foster momma will update any relevant info after our appointment. Are you ready to love me? * By the time of this writing on July 2nd. BDRA has voted against the use of eletrical fencing effective immediately.
