Once abandoned in a park and left to fend for himself, this incredible boy has overcome so much and is now ready to find the forever family he deserves. Basil has the most soulful eyes and a heart to match. He absolutely adores his humans, loves to give hugs, and will happily chat with you about his day. His diabetes is well managed, and he thrives on a canned food–only diet (he’s especially fond of Weruva Press Your Lunch Chicken, Tiki Cat Dark and Stella & Chewy’s freeze-dried chicken). This gentle sweetheart would shine as an only pet, though he can coexist with a calm, respectful kitty who gives him space. A quieter home with older children or adults would make him feel safe and adored. If you’re looking for a cat who will love you with his whole heart and fill your home with warmth, Basil is your boy. Hi there - my name is Jordyn! When I was a kitten I was found all by myself & taken to a shelter where I wasn't eating well so CAWS took me in to find my forever home. I was adopted & had a family for a couple years but then they had human kids and decided to give me back to CAWS. My foster mom tells me all the that I'm an adorable girl, so I'm sure you'll think so too. I have medium length hair that is really soft & makes me look fluffy. I love other cats & one of the best things in the world is to be in a cuddle pile with them for a nap. I lived with a dog in the past & I think with a calm one I would still be happy to have one in my home. With everything that's behind me, I'm looking for a relaxed home & I'm hoping you may be the one to give me my forever home. I hero worship the big cat in my foster home, and I try to imitate him any chance I get. My sister, Baby Girl is vision impaired and I am her protector, so we must be adopted together. If a cat tries to mess with Baby Girl, I will put myself in between her and the other cat. I also do not allow anyone to pet her until I decide if the person is ok.
