Story
MEET BASIL This boy has an incredible story. After being abandoned in a park, he was rescued by a kind lady who sought our help. Basil faced significant challenges upon discovery; not only was he declawed on all four paws, but his diet and health were also neglected, leading to diabetes and severe pain. Eventually, after some time with an amazing foster Basil did move to our full time care, he was diet controlled until a bout of kidney pyrolites. He currently does require insulin but we are hoping to get him to remission again and being diet controlled. Basil is THE BEST CAT! Basil is now ready for adoption! He thrives on a canned food only diet, particularly enjoying Weruva Paw Lickin' Chicken, Wellness and Stella & Chweys freeze dried chciken. Basil loves to talk and is very affectionate. Basil would thrive as only pet though he can adjust to calm kitties who give him space however he can not have access to other food, especially typical dry food. While he may not prefer homes with young children, older children who understand cats well could be a good fit. Despite his sassy demeanor, we are confident Basil will flourish as someone's cherished companion. To apply for this handsome boy go to whiskersutah.org

Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This kitty you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties Rescue (3LP) wants to set you and your new family member up for success! In addition to a fully vetted furbaby you also receive other additional perks such as a code for a free bag of cat litter AND a code for 50% off a 2nd bag of litter from Catalyst Pet, coupons for a fun visit to Petco, and support through our Facebook Adopters group where you can connect with thousands of other adopters, 3LP volunteers, fosters and staff. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescues and will require continued efforts but are well on their way to being the best kitties that they can be! We ask that you give them time (can take weeks to months) to decompress in their new home, do slow introductions to other pets and let their true personalities have a chance to come through. We celebrated our 6 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 14,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.facebook.com/ThreeLittlePittiesRescueSavingKitties/ https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue/ *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $74 surcharge for transport. Story
Davida is the shyest kitten in the house. She takes a lot of time to observe everything and everyone before she will get her paws dirty. She can be quickly charmed with treats and loves to play, once she feels comfortable. She would do best in a quiet, calm house. She does well with other cats and spends a lot of her free time finding new places to nap and new beds to make. Story
My name is Salt and Pepper (black and white), but I go by Pepper. I am really good with other cats. I am a protector, and I watch out for the younger fosters. I hero worship the big cat in my foster home, and I try to imitate him any chance I get. My sister, Baby Girl is vision impaired and I am her protector, so we must be adopted together. If a cat tries to mess with Baby Girl, I will put myself in between her and the other cat. I also do not allow anyone to pet her until I decide if the person is ok. I love treat hunting, neck scratches, the feather fishing pole, high places, and cat caves. Story
My name is Baby Girl (Black), and I lost most of my vision as a kitten. My kitty friend, Salt and Pepper is my guide and I trust him completely. Salt and Pepper has even taught me how to run through the house! I would do best with a quiet house with no small children, since I can not see danger. I have met a few puppies and can not decide if I like them or not. I love to talk and will do so while I play, when I want to snuggle or when I want fed. I really love food, so feed me controlled portions! I see lime green really good, so my favorite toys are that color.
