Turkish Van kittens & cats in Mankato, Minnesota

Hi All. It comes with a heavy heart that we are needing to rehome our queen kitty Nugget. Nugget is a short hair 12-14 years old, 10lb, neutered, fully vaccinated, calico munchkin cat (short body). She has been with us since we were 15 but sadly my sister and I are moving and cannot take her with us. She enjoys sleeping, laying in the sun, cuddles, burrowing under blankets, playing sometimes, and will purr right when you look at her. She comes with everything you would need including an automatic feeder, electric water fountain with filters, litter box and litter mat, 2 beds, treats, 2 bags of food, all grooming supplies, and lots of toys. She would ideally do best by her self or with another cat. She has lived with other cats in the past but for the last 2 years has been on her own. We love her dearly and it breaks our hearts to have to part with her however we know that she will make a perfect companion for someone new.

She does take a little while to warm up to a new space and people, but once she's able to feel comfortable and confident, she loves to explore, nap, and watch the world go by through the windows. While Willow is dog- and cat-friendly, she would do best in a calmer environment, as she's previously been overwhelmed by living with too many other pets, but will happily make friends with other respectful pets. She is a very independent girl, finding hiding places to sleep during the day or watching the room from her window perch, and will come rub up against my hands or legs when she wants affection. She's also been finding her voice more lately and will pepper me with the cutest little meows when she needs something or simply just wants a little attention. She also sleeps next to me in bed at night, often in between my legs or curled up next to me. Quick movements tend to frighten Willow and she's quick to dart away from loud or moving people. However, as she's gotten more comfortable around my family and home, this has gotten much better with a little time and patience. Willow would be a great cat for someone who has a busy schedule, as she's happy to spend time alone when necessary and then catch up at the end of the day with some love and affection. She'll let you know she missed you with some happy meows and a bump of her head against your hand. (Her adopter will also get her automatic feeder, which you can program to feed her at certain times every day!) She is the only female, and the smallest, in her litter so she has to stand up to her brothers from time to time; she does let them know she is the boss. She LOVES to lay in the sun, so you can typically find her laying in the window. Like her brothers, she loves to play; loves her plastic easter eggs, mice and anything she can find laying around. Bernie will cuddle up next to you when you are lounging around and will come running when you call her and gives you lots of loving looks when you are petting her. She enjoys hanging with her brothers and the other cats in the home and loves the lab that lives there as well.
