Story
7 months old Wilson is a quiet and sweet vizsla mix pup, who is currently being fostered in Houston but can travel to any state, even Canada to the right home.
Wilson and his brother Tanner found themselves in a high kill shelter of Texas, where they were surrendered by their previous owner.
While Wilson did fine on his own with his foster dad, his brother Tanner completely shut down without him, so we brought them back together. They enjoy each other's company but Wilson is very sociable and get along with other pets and humans easily.
After being in a home full of other pets, both brothers are now able to stay separately, as their foster parents and foster siblings have boosted their confidence and allowed them to make choices on their own without dependence on the other.
Wilson is very easy going, quiet, respectful pup. He is not rambunctious or destructive. He loves to please his humans and listen to directions
He is good with cats, dogs and kids. He currently lives with both dogs and cats and respects their spaces.
Wilson will prefer a second dog in his new home to play and bond with.
Wilson is crate trained, potty trained, leash trained and socialized. They would love to have a fully fenced yard to play with each other and get their exercise.
Wilson is about 7 months old, 40 lb, neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, and kept on heartworm and flea preventative.

His adoption fee include all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter surgery and recovery, heartworm and flea prevention), a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, Harness and leash.
Yards, if any, MUST BE adequately and fully fenced to adopt our pups. We do not accept electric or underground fences.
Our dogs are fully assessed by foster parents, vets and behaviorists, as well as videos and video chats are available to observe their manners in public. We are extremely transparent and like to share everything negative and positive with the adopters, to ensure it's a good fit and they are not returned to us, as the trips are very stressful on them.
Houston is home to million strays, many who are abandoned, many born on the streets, many who escaped while living in the yard, which is common in Texas. Since our rescue does not get grants that shelters get, we use adoption fee to help the pups and kitties in our care. Your adoption fee goes towards vetting and feeding our long term and permanent fosters, and unadoptable pups, as well as towards the monthly care and preventatives etc of our pets. By adopting one pup from our rescue, you make room for another dog to be rescued our high kill shelter, thus becoming an integral part of our mission to save as many unfortunate dogs off the streets and shelters as possible. So Thank you for choosing to rescue, and not go to a breeder.
