Peanut`s friendly and loving nature makes him an ideal companion for any home looking to add a bundle of love and happiness. Peanut is a bit rough with other dogs and can be jumpy and mouthy when playing with children, signaling a need for some loving training to shape his good behavior. Sahara here, yes, still! I have been in foster care for a REALLY long time and despite being incredible, I still haven't been chosen! I LOVE a great game of Frisbee and a lap nap after, I am house trained and enjoy long walks, swimming on a warm day, and even do well in the car. Speaking of cars, if you need safety at the ATM, take me along! I am muzzle-trained, if needed, and would love to explore a new neighborhood! I will alert you any time someone is near my home and scare off the bad guys with my big barking skills. I'm super smart, too, and know lots of commands- sit, leave it, wait, get down, and will even wake up from dreamland with my favorite blankies to give my person a hug if you ask me! While I am not friendly with other animals, people are my favorite! My foster mom loves me lots but she and I would both love to see me in a FURever home. Dorothy is truly is an easy going pup & I feel she’d make a great apartment or house pup! She loves her cuddles, she spins when she is excited, eager to put her harness and leash on & walks so well! She loves wearing clothes, in fact she seemed to want me to put her sweater on after seeing me put one on my own dog ~ it was so cute. She has picked up tricks such as sit, paw, & off. We are working on “down” for lay down and stay! She is dog and cat friendly. As far as new people goes, if they approach kindly and offer her a treat she calmly approaches them and if she sees me hug them all her guards go down; she feels the new person is trustworthy I believe. I haven’t had any issues with her meeting children; they were young (8 & 10) smart kids ~ understanding they should not tug or yell around a new pup so she settled quickly around them. She is kennel trained as well, she’ll whine for a few minutes after placing her in the kennel but quiets down pretty quickly.

Introducing Gatsby! We don’t know how long sweet has been living on the streets, but we are so g lad he is finally safe with us. Gatsby is such a calm, gentle soul who we know will come out of his shell soon. We got him all caught up on his vaccines, medicated shampoo for his skin, and started on heartworm prevention. He’s currently with our amazing boarding partners, but we would love for this sweet boy to be in a foster or forever home. He’s incredibly trusting despite never knowing the love of humans. The vets estimated Gatsby to be around 5-6 years old. Scouts Honor provides all resources needed to foster — supplies, food, medication, vet visits etc. please consider opening your home for the holidays for Gatsby! We know he would be so appreciative.
