Canela's favorite activities are going the dog park, chasing balls, running, and playing with toys. She weighs 50 pounds and is very active. She also likes walks and chase but not baths. She enjoys leading while on a leash. She is good with children of all ages and is easygoing, friendly, and playful. She loves to be petted. She is friendly and playful with other dogs and wants to play with dogs she meets during walks and at the dog park. She knows the sit command and is house trained. She's used to having free roam of the house. When she needs to go out, she'll stand at the door and scratch. Once she's out though you'll have to watch her because she has a great sense of adventure. She is always jumping fences (4 ft.) and running away. She can open gate latches too. This is why she is being given up. She needs a more secure yard with no way to get out. She had to be disciplined for chewing, digging, and jumping. Canela will make a great addition to a family that can keep her from searching for fun far and wide. Sahara here, yes, still! I have been in foster care for a REALLY long time and despite being incredible, I still haven't been chosen! I LOVE a great game of Frisbee and a lap nap after, I am house trained and enjoy long walks, swimming on a warm day, and even do well in the car. Speaking of cars, if you need safety at the ATM, take me along! I am muzzle-trained, if needed, and would love to explore a new neighborhood! I will alert you any time someone is near my home and scare off the bad guys with my big barking skills. I'm super smart, too, and know lots of commands- sit, leave it, wait, get down, and will even wake up from dreamland with my favorite blankies to give my person a hug if you ask me! While I am not friendly with other animals, people are my favorite! My foster mom loves me lots but she and I would both love to see me in a FURever home. Hi, I'm Coco!! I'm a high spirited wire-haired vizsla mix girl with lots to say and bounds of energy just like a pure bred vizsla! Running, hiking, water? Sign me up!! I love to talk and can sometimes get a bit loud in my excitement, so a home with a yard rather than an apartment would be best. I'm house and crate trained. Oh, and I love kids! Meet Blitzen Blizten is an all around sweet boy who just wants to be loved. He cannot be pet and loved on enough. He is excited out of the gate to see you and might put his paws on you to say hello. He spent the first years of his life struggling to survive on the streets of Cleveland Texas. His body shows the hard life he's lived but it hasn't affected how happy this boy is. He was pulled directly from the streets in January of 2022, before the freeze and went right into boarding to have a safe warm place to crash. He's been boarding at a home boarding facility and has a whole bedroom to himself. He doesn't have accidents in his room. He's been tested with other dogs and with proper introductions has done well. He has not been cat tested. Blitzen has resided in boarding now for over a year with his brother Boone. We would love to see them adopted together. They are bonded. His ideal home would be with children over 10 years old and someone who will show him what real home life is like. He's got young dog energy and would love someone who has time to exercise him. Blitzen is 3 years, 61lbs, fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped and has finished heartworm treatment. Meet Boone Boone's body shows he's had a rough life before coming to Big Love Rescue but his soul is so sweet. He is so thankful to be safe for the first time in his life. Boone is a sweet boy who just wants to be loved. He is crate and house trained and is dog friendly. Boone was rescued with his brother Blitzen right before the freeze in 2022. His body shows some scars from the life he previously lived but It doesn't make him any less deserving of the good life. He likes to gently jump up for hugs. He's never been in a home and we would love to make that happen for him. He is bonded with his brother Blitzen who was rescued with him and we would love to see them be adopted together. Boone is approx 3-4 years old, 61lbs and is fully vaccinated, microchipped and has completed treatment for heart worms.
