Story
The second I met Chantal Pal I knew there was something special about her. Her love for people is out of this world! The word "stranger" does not exist in her vocabulary, she loves everyone she meets, no matter the size. Even if it's a leaf, she loves it. Chantal is a total love bug so much so that she met a 3 year old for the very first time and completely fell in love with him. She wasn't jumping on him nor was she mouthy and was very gentle taking treats from him. She will make someone a great family dog. See her personality here: Chantal Pal is believed to be a Weimaraner pittie mix approximately 4 years old and currently weighs 60 lbs and full of love and kisses to give. She is a rescue dog and with rescue, it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. Chantal is dog friendly and did great with all of the dogs we introduced her to. She loves to play wrestle, chase, and is just an all around happy girl. She met multiple dogs ranging in sizes and also with varying personalities and her favorite friend that she made was a young 1 year play pup that she just met and they hit it off! She loved playing with her and one of the funniest things she kept doing was grabbing her leash like she was going to take her for a walk herself. It was adorable! She also isn't play all the time. She knows when to take breaks and will play for short periods at a time. Chantal would do best in home with another dog that is moderately playful, will take breaks on their own, is aloof and carefree just like her. She is medium energy and will get the zoomies from time to time, her zoomies are quite funny to watch too. Outside in the yards you'll mostly find her wondering around exploring her surroundings, taking in the fresh air, getting in a mini play session with doggy friends or she's by her people getting all of the affection. Chantal is also the type of dog that can be adopted out as an only dog as well. She does not need the company of other dogs to feel comfortable or open up with people. She instantly falls in love and melts into you. Chantal would do great in a home with a backyard or even in an apartment/condo style home as long as . She is crate trained, potty trained, walks easy on a leash and is just all around perfect. Please email : Kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Story
Hi, my name is CARSON (Charlie) and here is a little info about me:Age: 3 yrsGender: maleWeight: ~27 kgHeight: 64 cmHighlights: playful with other dogs, cuddly, good with all people My rescuers think I had a home and was used as a hunting dog before, but was abandoned when I had an accident and injured my legs. I was wandering the streets when I spotted an animal lover. When she gave me some attention, I didn’t want to let her go and tried to get into her car. When she let me, I was so happy that I put my head on her lap the whole ride home to thank her. I am a happy, playful boy who loves meeting new people and going out for adventures. I am very good with people and build up an emotional connection with people very quickly. I am good with children, men and women. I don’t like cats. I get along well with other dogs and enjoy playing with them, but I do consider myself the alpha and I don’t like sharing my food with my four-footed friends. I love getting attention from people and am very cuddly. I am very loyal to my human. My ideal home you ask... I would be happy with an active, young family who takes me out on lots of adventures, or a quieter home with children. I am not very fussy, as long as I have people to give me cuddles, I will be happy! Energy level: moderate I get along with:dogs: yescats: nokids: yes, await vid Prey drive: medium. My adopter needs to be willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise. Fears: unknown/none observed. Please be patient with me through my transition. Training: a bit on leashLeash: my leash skills still need some work. I will generally happily walk alongside my human, but when I feel the pressure of the leash I get stressed and may refuse to walk. Please be prepared to continue training me.House trained: No. Please be prepared to help me learn! Health notes: I have a limp in my right hind leg. My rescuers don’t know what caused it, but according to the vet, there is an old break that healed incorrectly on it's own. No intervention or treatment is necessary or recommended now. I will be able to have a normal life despite my limp. Sometimes I prefer not to use my leg, but when I run and play I do use it. My rescuer can provide X-Rays.I have been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee is $750.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. ##1482083##
