Story
Meet Dolly! A joyful three-year-old Weimaraner/Labrador Retriever mix currently living in sunny Toledo, WA, whose heart is as boundless as her energy and her sleek gray coat shines as bright as her spirit. This stunning girl is the perfect blend of athlete and cuddlebug! With long legs made for running and a playful soul that thrives on adventure, Dolly is ready to be the star of every family outing whether it's a hike through the hills, a beach day with your crew, or simply chasing her beloved Lambchop plush toy around the yard. She adores her twice-a-day walks or runs and will happily join you on any journey, big or small! But Dolly isn’t all go-go-go, she’s also a gentle, affectionate companion who loves to be part of the family fun. She’s house-trained, does well when left alone, and knows an impressive set of commands like sit, stay, lay down, high-five, and wait. She’s the kind of dog who listens with her heart and picks up on emotions around her with a remarkable sense of empathy and awareness. Dolly is deeply devoted to her people and forms strong bonds with the humans she trusts most. While she is incredibly sweet with people, she would thrive in a loving home where she can be the only pet. Dolly has significant difficulty sharing space with other dogs and becomes intensely focused when another dog is nearby, both on and off leash. Her reactions can include staring, lunging, and chasing, which means she needs careful management in public settings and a caregiver who understands behavior support and positive reinforcement techniques. Her family has worked hard to help her feel more comfortable by keeping her leashed in public spaces, redirecting her attention with treats and commands, and working through training classes and professional guidance. Despite these efforts, Dolly continues to struggle around other dogs, especially as they get closer to her space. Because of this, she would do best in a calm, structured environment without other animals where she can fully relax and enjoy life with her people. At 70 pounds of lean, lovable muscle, Dolly is both strong and graceful, a true athlete who still melts into a puddle of snuggles when the day winds down. She enjoys grazing on her meals throughout the day, and by night, she’s more than happy to curl up beside her favorite humans for some well-earned rest. Dolly’s family is thoughtfully seeking a new loving home where her unique needs can be supported and where she can continue to thrive as the adored center of attention. She has so much affection to give and is ready to build an incredible bond with someone who understands her sensitive nature and can provide a caring, dog-free environment. Are you ready to add a loyal, loving, and lively new member to your pack, especially one who already gives high-fives? Dolly is waiting to bring her boundless affection and playful spark to her new loving home! To learn more about adopting Dolly, please reach out to adopt@joyfulpets.com. This handsome boy is a Weimaraner/Lab mix, about 100 lbs, and 100% healthy. He’s 3 years old, fully trained, amazing with kids, and great with other dogs. He’s a total family dog who sadly lost the family he adored.   He’s gentle, loving, and just wants to be part of a home again.   ##2595037##

Story
I have been waiting for my family for a year and a half. Search Dog Foundation found me at the shelter and thought I might enjoy becoming a Search and Rescue dog, but once I got there and saw all the squirrels, I had a different job in mind: protect the humans from the squirrels! I love bouncing around, running trails, and training with my favorite humans, especially if they have a nice bag of cheese in their training pouch. I can file my own nails, sit in a swivel chair, and even climb trees! I love being active and can't wait to find a family that will appreciate all the funny quirks about me!
