Story
Large part Weimaraner, most parts love bug, my great ancestors hail from Germany– just like my fellow rescues, the Boxers! So glad they took me in. Peanut’s my name, cause I guess I kind of resemble one? Not the hard-shelled kind, of course–too much of a snuggler for that. I’m more of a boiled peanut type, soft, fun, ready to curl up beside you.  I'm around five, they tell me, and a smartypants. If this Peanut were on a grocery shelf, however, I’d be next to jam and honey—we have lots in common! I’m sweet, comforting, and love to sandwich my people. You, me, and the couch make three. I guess I’m a looker, too!  Been known to make the hearts of fellow rescue pups skip a beat. You didn’t hear it from me, but my not-so-secret admirer could barely contain himself when I sauntered past his kennel. Something about my eyes matching my coat matching my wise yet sassy self….can’t blame the fella.  Says my faithful volunteer, “Peanut’s a cuddle bug looking for a permanent rug. Peanut will see into your soul! Very into her peeps.” Oh wow, such a nice reference. It’s true. I want to know your thoughts, your dreams, and when we can lie in the grass and stare at clouds. So thankful to my foster family, and so ready to find my one and only. So glad to see you seeing about me.  Ready when you are!   Your smooth, buttery Peanut   PS Notes from Peanut’s sleepover: great overnight house guest, sleeps through the night, house trained, cuddle bug, loves toys, knows tons of obedience cues, jumps up when meeting new people (tho easily redirected), good in the car, likely best with a 6' fence (she's tall). ********PLEASE READ BELOW PRIOR TO EMAILING IN**********If you are interested in adopting this dog or any other from our rescue, please go to https://www.hobocare.org/adopt to review our home requirements and fill out an application. Please do not email and ask for more information on how to adopt, all the information is already available online. The information you see here is all that is currently available about this dog. No boxers are adopted without a completed application and home check. Thank you! ##1834542##

Story
Meet Vomma! This sweet lab/weimaraner mix has not had the easiest start in life, but she has so much love to give. After arriving at the shelter, Vomma needed her tail amputated, but what she lacks in tail wags, she more than makes up for with her loyal and affectionate personality.Vomma has been showing just how wonderful she can be in a home environment. She settles in quickly, enjoys attention, and loves being near her people. Like many young dogs, she is still learning, but she is extremely smart, picks up new skills quickly, and thrives with guidance.Vomma would love to be your hiking buddy or adventure partner, but she is just as happy curling up on the couch with you afterward. She does well in a kennel and can keep herself entertained with toys when needed. She loves rolling in the grass, playing fetch, and doing the cutest hops and tipety taps with her paws when she is excited. Vomma also enjoys runs and would be an amazing running companion for her forever person or family. She has done great at breweries her foster has taken her to, meeting people, kids, and other dogs!she loves to wrestle and play with other dogs!If you are looking for a faithful companion with a big heart and a little extra character, Vomma is ready to be by your side. She is currently in foster care. If you are interested in adopting her, please submit an application on our website.

Story
Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure Rhubarb Pie finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours  (please check your spam folder for our emails) .   Rhubarb Pie | 6-Year-Old Catahoula Leopard Dog Mix | A Sweet, Spotted Snugglebug Rhubarb Pie—affectionately called Ruby—is a beautiful, affectionate, and spirited 6-year-old Catahoula Leopard Dog mix with striking brown, grey, and black spotted markings. Once found in a Kansas field severely underweight, Ruby has blossomed into a happy, healthy, loving girl who is ready for the stability, affection, and joy of a forever home. Ruby is more than 95% house-trained and has never had an accident in her foster home. She stands by the door when she needs to go out and even paws at it to let you know. She’s also fully crate-trained, sleeping quietly through the night and resting calmly when left alone. She walks nicely on leash and enjoys sniffing on walks, though she can be nervous around unfamiliar men and may bark or howl until she warms up—which she does quickly with patience and reassurance. This sweet girl is playful, energetic, and loves other dogs—especially those who can match her enthusiasm for wrestling, running, and playing with toys. She’s best suited for a home with playful dogs of her size or larger, as her energy and puppy-like play style can overwhelm small seniors. Ruby has shown some resource guarding behavior around her crate and the items in it, but with simple management (like covering the crate), she has done beautifully. Outside the crate, she shares toys and space very well. Ruby is incredibly affectionate and has a wonderful mix of high energy and cozy snuggle vibes. She loves playing fetch, wrestling with her foster sibling, and carrying or “burying” her favorite toys under pillows and blankets. When it’s time to relax, she happily crawls into your lap, offers her belly for rubs, and gently paws at you for more love. She knows sit, down, no, and drop it reliably, responds well to structure and correction, and is highly motivated by food, toys, and affection. Her ideal home is one that can provide both activity and cuddle time—structure, love, and patience will help her continue to flourish. She could thrive as an only dog or with another playful dog, with proper introductions. Ruby bonds easily with women and, with a little patience, forms deep, loving attachments to men as well. Ruby has already come so far and is truly a gem—sweet, loving, playful, eager to learn, and ready to shower her forever family with affection. She’s a resilient girl who loves to love and be loved, and she’s all set to begin the next wonderful chapter of her life.   If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for this pet is $375. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.  Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking  here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email dogs@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can't accept calls. PLEASE NOTE:  The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter.  Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets.  Here is some interesting info on breed identification:  https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member! Story
Good day! I'm Tiara! My sister and I were adopted together when we were little, but somehow we found ourselves back out in the world and ended up as strays. I’m a mix of Catahoula Leopard Dog and German Shepherd — so I’ve got both smarts and style! I’m a sweet girl who gets along well with other dogs, and I’ve even been around chickens, turkeys, and goats with no trouble at all. I’d love a home where I can stretch my legs, run, play, and go on all sorts of adventures with my people. I'm super smart, a quick learner and I respond well to training. I just graduated a 7 week obidence training course. I'm also housebroken & I've lived in a home before and know the ropes. If you’re looking for a loyal, fun-loving friend who’s ready to make every day brighter, I think I might be the one for you! If you're interested in adopting me, fill out an adoption application online at www.polkcountyhumanesociety.org/adopt where you will also find a link to reserve me for an appointment. Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come. Polk County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, but also makes transports to the Denver, CO, Des Moines, IA and St. Louis areas twice monthly. For potential adopters in those areas, we can do a virtual visit using FaceTime or another app. Just request an appointment using the same link, but note that you want the visit to be virtual. We will call you at the time of the visit once it is confirmed. For long distance transports to Colorado and Iowa, there is an additional $100 fee to cover the cost of the transport ($65) and a health certificate from a veterinarian ($35). For transports to St. Louis, the additional fee is $50 to help cover gas. Going that last mile home for our sweet pets! All of our pets are neutered or spayed, have vaccinations appropriate for their age, treated with flea/tick/heartworm prevention, dewormed and dogs are also microchipped. #adoptdontshop ##1119139##
