Story
Peanut here, a five-year-old part Weimaraner, most parts love bug. My great ancestors hail from Germany– just like my fellow rescues, the Boxers! So glad they took me in. Peanut’s my name, cause I guess I kind of resemble one? Not the hard-shelled kind, of course–too much of a snuggler for that. I’m more of a boiled peanut type, soft, fun, ready to curl up beside you.  They tell me I'm a smartypants (but not a smart aleck!)  If this Peanut were on a grocery shelf, I’d be next to jam and honey—we have lots in common! I’m sweet, comforting, and love to sandwich my people. You, me, and the couch make three. I guess I’m a looker, too!  Been known to make the hearts of fellow rescue pups skip a beat. You didn’t hear it from me, but my not-so-secret admirer could barely contain himself when I sauntered past his kennel. Something about my eyes matching my coat matching my wise yet sassy self….can’t blame the fella.  Says my faithful volunteer, “Peanut’s a cuddle bug looking for a permanent rug. Peanut will see into your soul! Very into her peeps.” Oh wow, such a nice reference. It’s true. I want to know your thoughts, your dreams, and when we can lie in the grass and stare at clouds. So thankful to my foster family, and so ready to find my one and only. So glad to see you seeing about me.  Ready when you are!   Your smooth, buttery Peanut   PS Notes from Peanut’s sleepover: great overnight house guest, sleeps through the night, house trained, cuddle bug, loves toys, knows tons of obedience cues, jumps up when meeting new people (tho easily redirected), good in the car, likely best with a 6' fence (she's tall). ********PLEASE READ BELOW PRIOR TO EMAILING IN**********If you are interested in adopting this dog or any other from our rescue, please go to https://www.hobocare.org/adopt to review our home requirements and fill out an application. Please do not email and ask for more information on how to adopt, all the information is already available online. The information you see here is all that is currently available about this dog. No boxers are adopted without a completed application and home check. Thank you! ##1834542##

Story
Meet Felipe Male DOB: May 23, 2025 Current Weight: 60 lbs Breed: Weimaraner / Terrier Mix Neutered (Fixed): Yes Vaccines: Up to Date Microchipped Healthy & Adoption-Ready Personality, Breed Info & Expectations Felipe's world changed when the family he thought would be his forever home made the difficult decision to surrender him after only seven months. Through no fault of his own, he suddenly found himself searching for a second chance. While losing his family was heartbreaking, Felipe hasn't let it change his loving spirit. He continues to greet everyone with kindness, hoping that the next family who welcomes him home will truly be forever. Felipe is a friendly, affectionate young dog who loves being around people. He has wonderful house manners and is already house trained, making the transition into his new home much easier. He enjoys spending time with his family, whether it's joining them on walks, relaxing around the house, or simply being nearby. His gentle personality and loyal nature make him an easy dog to fall in love with. As a Weimaraner / Terrier Mix, Felipe combines the intelligence, athleticism, and loyalty of the Weimaraner with the curiosity and playful spirit of the Terrier. This mix is known for being highly trainable, eager to please, and happiest when included in family activities. Felipe enjoys staying active but also appreciates quiet moments spent relaxing with the people he loves. Felipe would thrive in a home prepared for: Daily exercise and outdoor adventures Continued positive reinforcement training Mental stimulation through puzzle toys and interactive games Plenty of companionship and family time Structure, consistency, and routine A lifelong commitment to his emotional and physical well-being Felipe has already experienced the sadness of losing one home. He deserves a family that will see him not as a temporary companion, but as a lifelong member of the family. In return, he will offer unwavering loyalty, unconditional love, and years of faithful companionship. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Felipe already has a wonderful head start because he is house trained and has experience living in a home. Even so, moving to a new environment takes time, and every rescue dog benefits from patience while learning a new routine. Felipe is intelligent, eager to learn, and responds well to positive reinforcement. Continuing his training will help build his confidence and strengthen the bond with his new family. Felipe will benefit from: Positive reinforcement training Daily exercise and enrichment Continued socialization Mental stimulation through training and puzzle toys Consistent routines and clear expectations Patience, encouragement, and love Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 days to decompress 3 weeks to learn your routine 3 months to fully feel at home With patience and consistency, Felipe will settle in beautifully and become the loyal companion he's meant to be. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Owning a dog is a lifelong commitment that includes training, companionship, exercise, and routine veterinary care. Felipe will need: Routine veterinary care and annual wellness examinations Preventative flea, tick, heartworm, and parasite protection Proper nutrition to maintain a healthy weight Daily exercise appropriate for his age and energy level Continued training and mental enrichment A safe, stable indoor living environment As a young, active dog, Felipe will thrive with families who enjoy including their dog in everyday life. Daily walks, playtime, and opportunities to explore will help keep both his body and mind healthy. Felipe is an indoor family dog and is not to be chained or left outside. Story
HOMEOWNERSHIP REQUIRED! Attention LARGE dog lovers!!!  Please meet Stuart (not so little)! Don't let his sleek grey coat, soft floppy ears, and stunning hazel eyes distract you. Stuart may look like a striking and refined pedigree, but in reality, he's a big goofball!  Stuart thinks he will fit perfectly into any lap and looks for opportunities to make that happen! Stuart has wonderful obedience skills (sit, stay, shake, down, come, leave it and place) - He is very smart, always eager to please and very treat motivated.  He is fully house trained, crate trained and also has wonderful leash manners. Stuart loves to play with most other dogs (following proper introductions), loves children and has successfully resided with a feline.  Due to his size and energy level during play, Stuart would likely do best with medium to larger dogs (smaller dogs tend to be intimidated by his size) and should be supervised around younger children - he loves to gallop in the yard or during feeding time and may, accidentally, fail to notice a smaller child in his excitement. Having come from a less than desirable home situation, new surroundings, crowded places, and some new new people may make Stuart a bit nervous from time to time.  But, he has had the opportunity to work with his foster family in these areas to create positive associations and has made wonderful strides - he now rewards his foster family with endless belly rubs and voluntarily offers his paw for a shake!  He has gained confidence in meeting new people with just a little bit of structure and reassurance from those he trusts.  Stuart has so much love to give - if you apply to meet sweet Stuart today, you will not be disappointed! Adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter Rabies Vaccination Distemper / Parvo Vaccines (includes series of 3 for puppies) Bordetella Microchip with prepaid lifetime registration Deworming ##839726##
