We would like to address the elephant in the room..or..ermm..the Brady in the room 🐘. This guy may resemble an elephant but he is in fact Brady, a five year old blue Weimaraner🩶🐾. We’d love to say that Brady is 135lbs of twisted steel and sex appeal 🦾, but that just ain’t it with this guy. He’s 135lbs of obese and we are so sad that he was allowed to get to this weight. Don’t you worry though, Brady has officially boarded the weight loss train here at Camp FSDA and while we can’t wait to see the pounds come off him, this is going to be a long term project for his future family. Brady is a large Weim, but large in the terms of 90lbs, not 135lbs. At 90lbs, Brady will be so much happier and will feel SO much better. We did a full blood panel to verify there wasn’t an underlying medical explanation for his excessive weight and we were able to rule out any medical causes - his weight appears to be the result of long-term overfeeding and insufficient exercise. 😩. Our bubs also has the CUTEST little mohawk on the back of his neck that we are obsessed with 😍. Brady was surrendered to a vet clinic after his elderly owners brought him in to be euthanized. We are beyond thankful that this vet declined to euthanize him and instead reached out for help 🙌🏽. Brady is a very sweet, misunderstood boy who feels the typical sensitive Weimaraner feelings but at a 135lb scale. He would likely do best as an only dog but we are happy to consider adopters with another dog if they are dog savvy and have Weimaraner or other similar breed experience. Brady may be a project, but every pound he loses is going to reveal the dog he’s always deserved to be. We know there’s a family out there that’s ready to cheer him on every step of the way. We love this big boy and we can’t wait to see him succeed! Brady is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and ready to find a family to continue his weight loss journey!!! He’s here with us at Camp FSDA in Parrish, Florida and his adoption fee is $300. My husband rescued Lucy 11/2021, she was a breeder dog and had been in a cage her entire life. She is a pitbull catahoula mix. She is the sweetest, most loyal and loving dog you will ever meet. She tolerates her stepsister, a husky named Diva. She plays well with dogs at the dog park. She loves my 8 yr old grandson. She has some anxiety at night and pants and paces. We work a lot and are gone all day, she does not get the love and attention she deserves. She would do best with someone that is home often. She likes to be the center of attention. Tolerates other animals. We believe she would do best in a home without other animals and without small children. As lovable as she is, she is very protective of her domain.
