Story
Max is an almost 2 year-old Weim/Silver Lab.  He loves everyone and is housetrained as well. He has the energy of a Weimaraner or a young lab.  He likes the water, so he would probably make a fun companion to take to the lake. He also would make an excellent hiking buddy. He is such a handsome dog and likes to greet everyone!  If you are looking for a dog, that is not a couch potato that can settle if need be, he is probably the one for you! His last weight was about 75 pounds. He doesn't have any food aggression so that is a plus. Like most Weim's he does have prey drive and would definitely chase a squirrel or a bunny. Max has been responding well to "Leave it" when we walk and see another dog but it's game on when we get close to a bunny! Max met a four-year-old and actually did really well with her despite that he is young and exuberant.  However, many families that have young children might be super busy and it might be hard to get him the exercise he needs. A small courtyard probably would not work for him unless someone is willing to give him a good walk in the morning and in the evening. He would love to hang outside on nice days and enjoys lounging around. Max was fabulous with the resident lab in his previous home but it does take him a day or two to feel comfortable. He's a bit of a large chicken! He has bunked with a 12 pound dog and did really well.  He knows sit and is treat motivated.  He loves to get ALL of his toys out of his toy box in order to find the right one!  He;s quirky and fun!   If you would like an adoption application email storkwoods@comcast.net which is the quickest way to get the ball rolling. We are an all volunteer-based rescue.   This dog is being fostered in Middle TN but a transport is available to the New England area.

Story
Meet Betty! Betty is a beautiful 4 yr old Weimaraner Viszla X. She is a very sweet girl, but very timid and nervous at first. She needs a very patient owner(s) who is willing to give her the time and space she needs to help build her confidence. Must be the only dog, could go with older kids who would also understand her needs, and unknown with cats. Where are my people with experience with fearful dogs?!?! Betty needs YOU!!

These pups are in Boston, Massachusetts too!

He is always up for an adventure whether it be a long walk, taking a hike in the mountains, or just being by your side. Cassius is an energetic, handsome man who's ideal home would be active and patient in continuing his training as he grows up. He would love a backyard to run around in and benefit from an owner who's familiar with his breeds. He is good with other dogs and just needs a bit of space and time to get to know them. He gets very excited to meet other dogs and has done well passing by other dogs on leash. Because Cassius has been a little too interested and would probably want to play with cats nonstop, he might do best without a cat in the home. He would do best in a home with dog-savvy, older kids because he tends to jump up and say hello. He's been happy to be approached by kids while on walks in the city with no problem.Cassius has improved his leash skills and takes redirection well. He is crate trained and housetrained. Cassius settles fairly quickly in the crate and can be crated for long work days, up to 8-10 hours. Cassius has had zero accidents in the home and just needs to be taken out on a routine schedule. He is intelligent and a quick-learner, always eager to please. Cassius will be such a rewarding addition to your home and will have you falling in love with him in no time! Please Note: All dogs currently available for adoption are posted on our website. Fostered with multiple dog pals, Levi has proved he is always down to play, and excitedly ends any day with a long snuggle on the couch. While Levi has only been around adults and older teens, he has shown equal love to all, and would likely do well around smaller children. He has not had any experience with indoor cats, but has not shied away from getting to know an outdoor, dog-savvy feline friend. Fully house trained with a doggy door and fenced yard, and crate trained to perfection, Levi has proved to be a true gentleman, sleeping through the night in his crate, with no whining or barking.  A true human (and walk) lover at heart, Levi is sure to make a most cuddly and loving addition to any home. Please Note: All dogs currently available for adoption are posted on our website.
