Story
🐶 Meet Henry! Breed: Labrador Retriever / Weimaraner mix Sex: Male Age: 7 years young Weight: 67 lbs Adoption area: MA & NH only Contact: Apply at www.survivortails.org and email Katie at adoptions@survivortails.org (Survivor Tails is a licensed 501(c)3 rescue organization.) 💛 About Henry Handsome, energetic, and full of love — that’s Henry! This athletic boy may be 7 years young, but he can run circles around dogs half his age. Henry adores being outside, whether he’s playing fetch, going on long walks, hiking, or just rolling on his back in the sunshine. A fenced yard is a plus, and daily exercise is a must for this spirited guy. Henry’s favorite nicknames include Hen, Henri, and Henrald. He’s also known as the Squeaker Hunter — stuffed toys don’t stand a chance! He’ll happily shred them just to proudly present you the squeaker (don’t worry, he doesn’t eat the fluff). He’s also a big fan of Benebones, BetterBones, and circular Nylabones to keep him busy. 🦴 Foodie Favorites Henry loves his meals and does great on Blue Buffalo Chicken & Rice (2–3 cups/day), served in a slow feeder bowl or snuffle mat. He enjoys tasty treats like turkey tendons, frozen marrow bones, peanut butter-filled bones, beef liver treats, pizza crust, eggs, bacon, and cheese — a true connoisseur! 🏡 Home Life Henry is fully crate trained and potty trained. He currently prefers his large Ruffland crate, goes in happily with the command “Crate,” and eats his meals there. He sleeps soundly through the night — though if he had it his way, he’d love to snuggle in bed with his human every evening. Henry is an excellent cuddler and loves following his person around the house carrying his toys or bowl 🙂 . He’s friendly with visitors when properly introduced and enjoys the company of other dogs once he’s had a slow, positive introduction. Henry can have separation anxiety but can be left safely in his crate while you're out of the house. He’s also a vocal guy — he loves to express himself! A bark collar helps, but potential adopters should expect a chatty companion. We feel Henry would benefit from a fenced yard to allow him space to run around and expend some energy. 🐾 Activities & Skills Henry occasionally attends doggy daycare and, once integrated, does well with his group. He’s gone swimming and even fetched toys in the water! He knows basic commands like sit, down, stay, and paw — though his excitement sometimes makes him forgetful. Off-leash hikes in quiet areas are his happy place, where his recall is great and his tail never stops wagging. ✏️ Ongoing Training Henry is eager to please and very smart, but he’s still polishing a few manners: • Leash walking: He pulls when excited to head out, but improves once he settles. • Jumping: He gets so happy to see people he can’t help himself! • Counter surfing: Sneaky, but improving with consistent training. • Barking: Managed with a bark collar. • Mouthiness: He can get nibbley when excited — giving him a toy helps a lot. • Patience: When overstimulated, his crate is a safe and helpful place to relax. • Car rides: He’s thrilled to go, which leads to some excited whining on the way. ❤️ In Summary Henry is a loyal, goofy, affectionate boy who just wants to be close to his person. He’ll thrive in a home with a fenced yard with an active adopter who can continue his training, give him consistent structure, and enjoy plenty of adventures together. Henry has so much love and life left to share — could he be your best friend?

Story
Puka was found on a street in Memphis, TN in June 2025. Despite the rope burns around his neck, he showed no fear and ran directly to me for cuddles. We have been fostering the sweetest boy for the past 8 months, but need to rehome him since we travel so much. He can self-regulate when left alone and entertain himself, but is happiest when next to a buddy. He rarely barks, loves to play fetch, and sleeps most of the day. He is also kennel trained, potty trained, calm in the tub, and knows basic commands. Like any young dog, Puka could still use some leash training, but at about one year old he has outgrown most of his puppy energy and is always eager to train and please!

Thank you for your interest in adopting! We look forward to helping you adopt your next companion animal. All dogs and cats are fostered in volunteer homes with working families, kids and teenagers, other dogs and sometimes cats too. When your application is approved, we put you in touch with the foster for FaceTime so you can see your puppy in real time and ask questions. It's a process that's worked for hundreds of dogs over the past fifteen years. We start crate training puppies about ten weeks and send our crate training sheet with every adoption. A fence is not required to adopt a puppy. All dogs and cats are fully vetted prior to adoption. Spayed/neutered, age appropriate vaccines, microchip, dewormed, parasite prevention. Any medical issue that was treated is fully disclosed. All dogs come with medical records. There is lots of room to write on the application. Please tell us about yourself, and your pets, current or previous. Lucy's mom is a purebred Weimaraner, dad was a mixed breed traveling salesman. Mom dog is spayed now. We have better pictures of her we can text if you adopt. Lucy is almost 10 weeks old 3/2/26 and about 13 lbs. We expect her to grow to a medium sized dog, on the larger side This litter will transport to their adopters 3/26-3/28. Transportation is included in the total adoption fee. We have to pay for every animal that we send North on Transport. We do not own the van or the service. $345 adoption $175 transport $65 health certificate from Vet. _______ Total investment for a healthy vetted pet. $585 Serious adopters should fill out the application online and we'll be in touch in a day or two. We prefer a vet reference, current or previous, to adopt a puppy. Copy and paste the link into your browser. https://form.jotform.com/212574701956157 Thank you!

His unique coloring and striking markings make him truly one of a kind. Poe’s early life was filled with uncertainty, so he can be a little slow to adjust to new environments. But his gentle timidness never reflects the way he feels about people. Poe lives to love. He’s a dedicated cuddle bug, a loyal companion, and a dog who wants nothing more than to bond deeply with his people.Poe thrives in the company of other dogs and would likely do best in a home with a confident canine friend. Having another dog around helps him learn, grow, and continue building his confidence. He has previously lived with a cat and was very respectful. While he hasn’t spent time around children, he could do well with kids who enjoy cuddling and understand the importance of gentle, patient introductions.Poe is making wonderful progress with his training and is almost fully potty trained, with only an occasional accident. He would do best in a home where someone is around frequently—such as a work-from-home household—so he can have regular opportunities to go outside while he continues building consistency. Poe is crate trained and may briefly let you know he’d rather be with his people, but he settles in quickly. He walks calmly on a leash and is a pleasant companion on outings, though he may appreciate a little extra reassurance in busy or high-traffic areas.Poe is searching for a patient, understanding home that will give him the time and encouragement he needs to feel safe and confident. In return, he promises unwavering devotion, endless snuggles, and a lifetime of love. Please Note: All dogs are posted on our website until they are officially adopted.
