She is a medium energy gal who loves romping in the yard, playing tug-of-war with a rope toy, and then curling up on the couch to snooze the evening away. She would thrive in a home that can give her a solid routine and plenty of playtime.Indu gets along great with the dogs in her foster home and plays with them constantly. She would do well with a canine sibling. She has not been around cats yet, but her easy, social nature suggests she would likely do fine with proper introductions. Her gentle personality would likely do well with dog savvy kids too.Indu loves indestructible toys and a good game of tug-of-war. She is mostly crate trained and does well with some time in her crate throughout the day. She has made great progress on her house training and does best on a consistent schedule. She walks well on leash when given the opportunity and has shown she is a great traveler too. This sweet, patient girl has waited long enough for her perfect home. Could Indu be the one for you? Please Note: All dogs are posted on our website until they are officially adopted. This dog may have other interested adopters in line. 🐶 Meet Henry! Breed: Labrador Retriever / Weimaraner mix Sex: Male Age: 7 years young Weight: 67 lbs Adoption area: MA & NH only Contact: Apply at www.survivortails.org and email Katie at adoptions@survivortails.org (Survivor Tails is a licensed 501(c)3 rescue organization.) 💛 About Henry Handsome, energetic, and full of love — that’s Henry! This athletic boy may be 7 years young, but he can run circles around dogs half his age. Henry adores being outside, whether he’s playing fetch, going on long walks, hiking, or just rolling on his back in the sunshine. A fenced yard is a plus, and daily exercise is a must for this spirited guy. Henry’s favorite nicknames include Hen, Henri, and Henrald. He’s also known as the Squeaker Hunter — stuffed toys don’t stand a chance! He’ll happily shred them just to proudly present you the squeaker (don’t worry, he doesn’t eat the fluff). He’s also a big fan of Benebones, BetterBones, and circular Nylabones to keep him busy. 🦴 Foodie Favorites Henry loves his meals and does great on Blue Buffalo Chicken & Rice (2–3 cups/day), served in a slow feeder bowl or snuffle mat. He enjoys tasty treats like turkey tendons, frozen marrow bones, peanut butter-filled bones, beef liver treats, pizza crust, eggs, bacon, and cheese — a true connoisseur! 🏡 Home Life Henry is fully crate trained and potty trained. He currently prefers his large Ruffland crate, goes in happily with the command “Crate,” and eats his meals there. He sleeps soundly through the night — though if he had it his way, he’d love to snuggle in bed with his human every evening. Henry is an excellent cuddler and loves following his person around the house carrying his toys or bowl 🙂 . He’s friendly with visitors when properly introduced and enjoys the company of other dogs once he’s had a slow, positive introduction. Henry can have separation anxiety but can be left safely in his crate while you're out of the house. He’s also a vocal guy — he loves to express himself! A bark collar helps, but potential adopters should expect a chatty companion. We feel Henry would benefit from a fenced yard to allow him space to run around and expend some energy. 🐾 Activities & Skills Henry occasionally attends doggy daycare and, once integrated, does well with his group. He’s gone swimming and even fetched toys in the water! He knows basic commands like sit, down, stay, and paw — though his excitement sometimes makes him forgetful. Off-leash hikes in quiet areas are his happy place, where his recall is great and his tail never stops wagging. ✏️ Ongoing Training Henry is eager to please and very smart, but he’s still polishing a few manners: • Leash walking: He pulls when excited to head out, but improves once he settles. • Jumping: He gets so happy to see people he can’t help himself! • Counter surfing: Sneaky, but improving with consistent training. • Barking: Managed with a bark collar. • Mouthiness: He can get nibbley when excited — giving him a toy helps a lot. • Patience: When overstimulated, his crate is a safe and helpful place to relax. • Car rides: He’s thrilled to go, which leads to some excited whining on the way. ❤️ In Summary Henry is a loyal, goofy, affectionate boy who just wants to be close to his person. He’ll thrive in a home with a fenced yard with an active adopter who can continue his training, give him consistent structure, and enjoy plenty of adventures together. Henry has so much love and life left to share — could he be your best friend?

Story
This decision to rehome Willow was not an easy one. We rescued Willow almost 6 years ago, my husband and I, she was just a puppy. She was living in a car with other dogs and did not have a great life. She's been my baby and attached to my side ever since. Willow from the jump had some behavioral issues, she's very skittish around some men, she cannot be crated. She will salivate from extreme anxiety. She can safely be left out in the house as long as there is nothing around for her to chew, like dishes, food, etc. she really is the most loving dog to adults. But unfortunately we have a 1 year old now who has recently become mobile and walking, she will growl at him any time he walks by her. We are looking for a loving home where the owners will be home a good majority or can bring her places with them. A home with no young children. She does get along with most other animals. We know this is the right decision for our family and for Willow to have a home she doesn't feel stressed in.

Story
Meet Charlie, a handsome, affectionate boy with a heart full of love and a special talent for giving hugs. If you're looking for a loyal companion who wants nothing more than to be close to his people, Charlie may be the perfect match.Charlie's story began with an unfortunate start. He and his sister were found abandoned near a rural road, and while his sister had to be trapped by animal control, Charlie happily walked right up to them, ready to trust and love despite everything he had been through. After spending time in foster care, both dogs were adopted together. Sadly, after recently being found running loose, Charlie was surrendered back to rescue and is once again searching for the forever family he truly deserves.Charlie adores people and thrives on attention, affection, and—most of all—hugs, hugs, hugs. He gets along wonderfully with adults and has done very well with older children. During a recent family visit to his foster home, Charlie happily soaked up attention from a 9-year-old boy and enjoyed being part of the fun.Charlie has also had numerous opportunities to interact with other dogs, both male and female, and has consistently shown himself to be a polite and friendly companion. He enjoys canine company and has always been a very good boy around other dogs.He walks on a leash and is eager to accompany his people wherever they go, although he can become so focused on getting closer for affection that he occasionally forgets he's supposed to be walking! Charlie also rides beautifully in the car and is the perfect co-pilot for any adventure.Charlie is truly an all-around wonderful dog—sweet, gentle, affectionate, and full of love to give. He would love a similarly happy sibling companion, and all he needs now is a family that will cherish him, return his hugs, and give him the happy ending he's been waiting for. In return, Charlie promises to fill your home with loyalty, companionship, and affection.Name: CharlieBreed: Weimaraner/Crossbreed   (Breed mix is not guaranteed-no DNA testing done).Sex: MaleAge: 1 year  (estimated)Weight: 50.0Spayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Negative on recent testingMicrochipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS:Good with Children: Over 5Good with Dogs: YesGood with Cats: UnknownAdoption Fee: $550.00  (includes transport fee when applicable)                       $100-150 additional mandatory quarantine fee for Massachusetts residents.Location of dog currently:    Tennessee  IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England.  Adoption donations cover pre-adoption veterinary costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age-appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England, if necessary.Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse, whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher.
