🐶 Meet Henry! Breed: Labrador Retriever / Weimaraner mix Sex: Male Age: 7 years young Weight: 67 lbs Adoption area: MA & NH only Contact: Apply at www.survivortails.org and email Katie at adoptions@survivortails.org (Survivor Tails is a licensed 501(c)3 rescue organization.) 💛 About Henry Handsome, energetic, and full of love — that’s Henry! This athletic boy may be 7 years young, but he can run circles around dogs half his age. Henry adores being outside, whether he’s playing fetch, going on long walks, hiking, or just rolling on his back in the sunshine. A fenced yard is a plus, and daily exercise is a must for this spirited guy. Henry’s favorite nicknames include Hen, Henri, and Henrald. He’s also known as the Squeaker Hunter — stuffed toys don’t stand a chance! He’ll happily shred them just to proudly present you the squeaker (don’t worry, he doesn’t eat the fluff). He’s also a big fan of Benebones, BetterBones, and circular Nylabones to keep him busy. 🦴 Foodie Favorites Henry loves his meals and does great on Blue Buffalo Chicken & Rice (2–3 cups/day), served in a slow feeder bowl or snuffle mat. He enjoys tasty treats like turkey tendons, frozen marrow bones, peanut butter-filled bones, beef liver treats, pizza crust, eggs, bacon, and cheese — a true connoisseur! 🏡 Home Life Henry is fully crate trained and potty trained. He currently prefers his large Ruffland crate, goes in happily with the command “Crate,” and eats his meals there. He sleeps soundly through the night — though if he had it his way, he’d love to snuggle in bed with his human every evening. Henry is an excellent cuddler and loves following his person around the house carrying his toys or bowl 🙂 . He’s friendly with visitors when properly introduced and enjoys the company of other dogs once he’s had a slow, positive introduction. Henry can have separation anxiety but can be left safely in his crate while you're out of the house. He’s also a vocal guy — he loves to express himself! A bark collar helps, but potential adopters should expect a chatty companion. We feel Henry would benefit from a fenced yard to allow him space to run around and expend some energy. 🐾 Activities & Skills Henry occasionally attends doggy daycare and, once integrated, does well with his group. He’s gone swimming and even fetched toys in the water! He knows basic commands like sit, down, stay, and paw — though his excitement sometimes makes him forgetful. Off-leash hikes in quiet areas are his happy place, where his recall is great and his tail never stops wagging. ✏️ Ongoing Training Henry is eager to please and very smart, but he’s still polishing a few manners: • Leash walking: He pulls when excited to head out, but improves once he settles. • Jumping: He gets so happy to see people he can’t help himself! • Counter surfing: Sneaky, but improving with consistent training. • Barking: Managed with a bark collar. • Mouthiness: He can get nibbley when excited — giving him a toy helps a lot. • Patience: When overstimulated, his crate is a safe and helpful place to relax. • Car rides: He’s thrilled to go, which leads to some excited whining on the way. ❤️ In Summary Henry is a loyal, goofy, affectionate boy who just wants to be close to his person. He’ll thrive in a home with a fenced yard with an active adopter who can continue his training, give him consistent structure, and enjoy plenty of adventures together. Henry has so much love and life left to share — could he be your best friend?

Story
Meet Sire!! He is an 8 month old Weimaraner, neutered, UTD on vaccines and ready to find his forever home He would do best in a home with older kids 10+ as he is still very young and jumpy. He seems to be ok with cats and scared of other dogs. If interested and another dog resides in the home a meet and greet is required. A fenced in yard or electric fence is highly recommended. He knows basic commands and is eager to stand by your side at all costs. If you know this breed you know they are great loyal dogs for life. Breed experience preferred as this is not an average dog they have specific needs and qualities that need to be understood fully for the best possible life. Please do your research if interested!! We are open Tuesday-Saturday 9:00am-3:00pm

Story
Meet Caesar - The Ruler of Hearts. Some puppies steal your shoes. Caesar steals hearts. At just 4 months old and 12 pounds, Caesar is the perfect mix of playful and gentle. He loves chasing toys and having fun, but he's not the wild, over-the-top kind of puppy. His sweet, easygoing personality makes him a joy to be around. What Caesar loves most, though, is affection. The moment you start petting him, he completely melts into your hands, soaking up every bit of love he's given. It's as if he's been waiting his whole life to know what it feels like to belong. Caesar's life almost ended before it had the chance to begin. When an unspayed dog became pregnant, the puppies were unwanted. Our rescuers were told that if someone didn't take them, they would be killed. Thankfully, they were rescued just in time, and Caesar was given the chance to grow into the happy, loving puppy he is today. Now, all that's missing is a family to call his own. Caesar is currently being fostered in Puerto Rico, but his adoption fee includes transportation to a loving forever home anywhere in the mainland United States. Distance doesn't matter when it comes to changing a life. This little boy has so much love to give. All he needs is someone willing to let him rule their heart forever.

Meet Maurice – With Soulful Eyes. Some puppies capture your attention with playful antics. Maurice captures your heart with a single look. At just 4 months old and 12 pounds, Maurice has the kind of soulful eyes that tell a story of hope, resilience, and a quiet wish for a family to finally call his own. Maurice's life almost ended before it had the chance to begin. When an unspayed dog became pregnant, the puppies were unwanted. Our rescuers were told that if someone didn't take them, they would be killed. Thankfully, rescue stepped in just in time, giving Maurice the chance he deserved. Despite such a heartbreaking beginning, Maurice has grown into one of the gentlest puppies you'll ever meet. Sweet, calm, and incredibly affectionate, he's happiest simply being close to the people he loves. Maurice is wonderful with other dogs, cats, and children, making him a great fit for many families. He's still learning house training and is making great progress every day. Currently waiting in Puerto Rico, Maurice is ready to find his forever family. His adoption fee includes transportation anywhere in the mainland United States, so distance doesn't have to keep him from the home he's been dreaming of. Maurice was given a second chance at life. Now all he needs is someone to give him the love, safety, and forever home he's always deserved.
