Story
Meet Ember! At just 1.5 years old and 45 lbs, Ember may have a hint of Catahoula in her mix, adding a touch of uniqueness to her character. Rescued after wandering up to a Mobile Home Factory, Ember has been flourishing in a Southern foster home, dedicating herself to perfecting her house-training skills.Ember is a free spirit who hasn't been crated and is making strides in leash manners, though she's showing some early signs of leash reactivity. While she can thrive in a home with kids aged 10 and older, Ember would likely shine brightest as the sole furry companion in a loving household. Her foster says, "This sweet girl is ready for her furever family. Ember has high energy and wants to be your best friend. She would sleep tight against you in bed if allowed but does well listening and laying on dog bed or blanket on floor. She would be great with a family with older children who have time for her and to play lots. She would prefer a fenced yard if possible. She is working on basic training but can follow some simple commands such as sit, lay down, enough, settle, and responds to the word "ouch" if she gets too rough and instantly calms and seeks positive affirmation when she settles."He is available for adoption in Hopkinton with an approved adopter. Please fill out an application on our website at https://www.browndogcoalition.com/adoptable as a first step.- Please thoughtfully discuss with your entire household the physical, financial, and emotional responsibilities of a puppy/dog BEFORE applying to adopt.- Puppies/dogs may not be given as gifts or surprises.- More information about our adoption process, application and adoption fee can be found at browndogcoalition.com

Story
I’m Amber, a 4-year-old, 50-pound black-and-grey spotted Catahoula mix. I was found abandoned outside a pharmacy and was lucky enough to be taken in by Save A Dog’s rescue partner, LAMA. My Southern foster says I’m a loyal, smart girl. I’m mellow by nature and enjoy hanging out in my crate or sunbathing in the backyard. I like to play with other dogs but am not super active. I also adore children! I’m housetrained and crate trained, and I walk well on a leash. I’m a happy, obedient dog looking for my forever home! Please apply at https://www.saveadog.org/applytoadopt.asp.

**MEET ME AT OUR 3/3 ADOPTION EVENT IN MARBLEHEAD!**Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: YesGood with cats: Yes, dog savvy catsGood with kids: Yes, dog savvy childrenCrate trained: MostlyHouse trained: YesJewel is a shy, sweet pup who is ready to be your companion! She can be shy in new situations but warms up quickly once she knows you’re her person. Jewel’s ideal home would have a work-from-home buddy or access to doggy daycare as she builds her confidence. She gains confidence around other dogs and takes cues well. Despite her young age, Jewel is well-mannered, not high energy, and can occupy herself with a chew toy. She has not been exposed to young children but happily lived with dog-savvy older children and teens in her foster home. Jewel would most likely do well with dog-savvy cats. She thrives off the company of people and her dog friends.Jewel goes into her crate for a treat and sleeps well overnight but is still learning to settle in the crate when she’s home alone. She is house trained and alerts by walking towards the front door. Jewel continues to improve on her leash walking skills. She will benefit from an owner who will be patient with her as she navigates her new environment.Jewel is truly a gem of a dog – smart, loving, and eager to please! She will make a wonderful addition to any home. Please Note: All dogs currently available for adoption are posted on our website.
