Koufax is 80 pounds of enthusiasm, loyalty, and “I’m so excited I forgot my manners for a second.”
This 5-year-old mixed breed doesn’t just like people – he LOVES them. If you’ve ever wanted a built-in best friend who follows you from room to room and celebrates your return like you’ve been gone for years, Koufax is your guy.
His DNA is just as unique as his personality. He’s 25% Weimaraner, 25% Staffordshire Terrier, 25% Siberian Husky, 12.5% German Shepherd and 12.5% Great Pyrenees. It all adds up to one very smart, active and people-loving dog.
He already has the home life stuff down – Koufax is house trained, crate trained and knows how to settle in once he’s had a chance to get his wiggles out.

Koufax is a strong, athletic dog, and when he gets excited, he can pull on the leash and come in a little hot when meeting new people or dogs. He’s not trying to be rude – he just doesn’t always realize how big he is. Because of that, he’ll do best with someone who can handle his size and continue his training so he can keep getting better.
What he really wants is a home where he’s part of things: walks, playtime, lake days and hanging out with his people. A 6-foot fenced yard will help give him space to stretch out and burn off energy.
He plays hard, loves big and can be a little clumsy at times, so older kids would be the best match.
At his core, Koufax is loyal, loving and full of personality – the kind of dog who just makes everything better by being around.
Koufax is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and current on heartworm/flea/tick preventatives. His adoption fee is $175.
