Story
Ruger is a loving, energetic, and anxious, Weimaraner/Pumi mix. We got him from a dog breeder last year when he was a puppy. He knows how sit and lay down on command. He is housebroken, neutered, and up to date on all shots and vaccinations. We give him a monthly heart worm and flea & tick chewable. As mentioned before, he is very anxious. He needs to be close to someone regularly. He does not do well left alone, especially in a kennel. He is very energetic and loves to run. We try to take him for a walk everyday but he always could use more. We want to find a home for Ruger where he can run openly and have someone that can be with him all day. We have a fenced backyard that isn’t enough space for him. Ruger is well-behaved as long as someone is around. Great around children. When we have to go to work or run an errand, he drools excessively and sometimes hurts himself in his kennel. Per our vet, we have tried meds, but we don’t like that approach. We just want what’s best for Ruger.

Approx. DOB:4/29/23                  Approx Weight: 43.5 Lbs Adoption Fee: $225 includes a 2 week trial to ensure everyone's happiness! Groucho is so gorgeous when you see him in person with his unique markings and color! Groucho came to Furry Kids Refuge from the Nevada Animal Shelter after it flooded.  He initially was surrendered to the shelter when his owner had to go to a nursing home.  Groucho,  we think he got his name because when he is playing with the other dogs he is very vocal and sounds like he is being a Groucho!  He is very playful and loves playing with the other dogs. But, he also would do great as a only dog because he loves people and the more one on one pampering he can get, the happier he is! We don't know if he is housebroken but he keeps his kennel clean and that's a good sign.  We are working on the leash training but he needs more work not to pull.  We are getting him a no pull harness which will help keep him from pulling and it will go home with the family who adopts him.  This handsome boy really stands out from the other dogs because of his gorgeous markings and colors. He is an unusual breed also.  Groucho loves being petted and snuggled with.  Let's get this boy adopted! Fill out the application and everyone gets a 2 week trial to be sure it's a good match for the family.  This is a great program to help families get a good match.  NO CATS I have been neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative, wormed and microchipped.  If you are interested in adopting me, please complete the adoption application located at www.furrykidsrefuge.org/adoptadog and a dedicated volunteer will get back to you as soon as possible. Story
Chili is the sweetest girl! She loves cuddles and walks but also being lazy. She has some food allergies so she has to have sensitive stomach food with Lamb or Salmon. Chili came from a hoarding situation when we reacued her 3 years ago. She is a little slow to understand so takes extra patience for training. She also has a lot of nervousness and anxiety especially if she feels scared in a situation. We love her dearly and want her to have a happy beautiful life
