Hi, my name is Cora! I am approximately five years old and weigh in at 50 pounds. My people think I may be a Weimaraner mix. I am a super sweet girl. I am a little shy when I first meet you but I warm up pretty quickly. I like to be near my people and will stick to you like glue. I like to snuggle and am all about the love. I get along with other dogs. I have never been cat tested so my people are going to say no to a home with furry felines. I love to go on walks and am a medium energy girl. I don’t require a lot of crazy exercise. I like to just meander along and smell the roses. There are so many great things to smell out in this big ole world we live in. I walk well on the leash and I am not a puller. I am house trained and crate trained. I ride well in the car and like to be out and about. I am looking for a new after being found on a country road. It appears I may have been used for breeding and then discarded. I am spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. If you think I may be the one, please email adopt@thezoeygroup.com

He is an energetic, shy but affectionate (once he gets to know you) and smart that likes other dogs and teen kids. He is a great  companion for an active family with a secure 6 ft fence, children over 12 years of age or active single person.  Catahoula experience is recommended.  He is an indoor dog.  He likes walks, car rides, toys. and dog beds.  He  will require daily walks and some dog training.  Will require 6 ft fence. No apartments or rentals. No cats. Helotes Humane Society is headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We save homeless and abandoned dogs and find them loving forever homes in other areas, where pet homelessness is not epidemic. All of our pets are located here, in San Antonio, and we partner with  rescues to provide transportation for our pets to their new homes. Our adoption fee includes vet care (vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchipping, etc), as well as transportation and health certificate. I do walk on leash but due to my muscle size I do need some leash walking polishing.   I will do best in a calm and active home with another dog or no dog. I would enjoy walks/hikes, outdoor outings and lots of companionship. Also need a house with a securely fenced yard.. No apartments!
