Little Tigger is only 7 months old and hasn't had the best start. He ended up in a crowded shelter out of state and then had a trip to Florida where he could stay with us without having to worry about anything. But the shelter is no place for puppies and having his picture taken when he arrived was just one more thing to be afraid of! But we know that having a home to call his own is all this pup needs to feel safe and comfortable. Likely a boxer, retriever, lab mix, he has a beautiful brindle coat and will likely be a gorgeous mid to large size dog when he grows up. Oh, and he also has the biggest most beautiful puppy dog eyes so we are pretty sure that whoever is lucky enough to adopt him will be putty in his hands! Tigger will get all the treats and cuddle with just one look. Trust us, we know. He does it to us too!

Jolene is a whippet mix and still young, approximately 1.5-2 years. Last November, a friend of ours found Jolene abandoned, and brought her to us, because we love dogs! (Jolene is number 5 for us). We agreed to take her and at least foster her, with the hope that she could stay permanently. Unfortunately though, we are finding that Jolene will really be best in a single pet home, with active parents. Jolene is a very sweet, very loving girl but she is HIGH energy. She is very playful, but often plays too hard or for too long with the other dogs, stresses them out and on the rare occasion becomes aggressive with them when the playing goes too far. She is also too intense with our cats. She only wants to play with them, but they aren’t into it and are also stressed by her. Jolene will do best, and really belongs in a single pet home, and ideally someone who can exercise her regularly. Up to date on shots, is micro-chipped and is spayed. Fee is only to prevent nefarious adopters

Woof! Hey there, I'm Rod, the spirited Whippet with a "TAIL" to tell. My journey started in China, where things were tough for a pup like me. The meat markets were no place for a doggy with dreams. But guess what? Some brave souls swooped in, and suddenly, I was airborne, flying across continents like a doggy superhero. Landing at the Big Dog Ranch Rescue was like hitting the jackpot - a safe haven where I could wag my tail and dream of a forever home. Now, I'm here, waiting for that special family to notice me. I'm a ball of energy, extremely stimulated and ready for adventures. Prey drive? Oh, you bet! Anything that moves, I'm on it. But here's the thing - I'd love a friend, a mellow and submissive dog who understands my quirks. Playful is cool, but not too much-I've got a high prey drive, you see. Small dogs and puppies? Not my cup of water, I'd say. None of "THOSE" cats either. It's just how I roll.
