Despite his past, Rex’s true terrier spirit shines through—he’s energetic, determined, and full of personality. True to his wirehair terrier roots, Rex is smart, bold, and independent. He likes to know what’s going on and isn’t afraid to voice his opinions. He can be a bit stubborn at times (classic terrier!), but that determination also means he’s engaged, alert, and deeply loyal once he bonds with you. With patience and consistency, Rex is a truly lovable companion who thrives on structure and routine. Rex would do best in an adult-only home, and this is actually a huge plus for him. Without the unpredictability of children, Rex can fully relax, settle in, and build a strong, trusting bond with his person. Hello! I am looking for experienced adopter for an adorable dog. She was a stray so she is shy at first but once she warms up to you she is sweet and cuddly. She has shown no aggression at all, ever. She is learning how to walk on a leash but still needs more training. She is housetrained and lets us know when she needs to go outside to potty. She will need a secure and fenced in yard as she loves to be outside and adventure. Getting her to come back in is sometimes a challenge because she likes to be outside so much. She gets along with my elderly dog and my cats but I do not know how she would be with other animals as I do not know her history. She has never shown any aggression as far as I can tell. She loves my 11 year old. However, I have not seen her with smaller children. She loves attention and always wants to be near her person. She is always there to greet us when we come home. She will make the perfect family member for someone and just wants to be loved and give love back.

Kirby is a gorgeous 6 yo scruffy terrier mix, with the most beautiful amber eyes. He is a happy dog who loves to play with squeaky toys, take walks and relax on the couch with his favorite hoomans. He loves to dig for buried treasure and will let you dress him up in costumes for the different holidays. He is smart, walks great on a leash, is food motivated and eager to please. Kirby would make a great walking companion, but he's just as happy to lay at your feet, amuse himself with a toy or just relax until you are ready to take a break. Kirby is NOT a first time adopter dog. He needs a special and experienced adopter, preferably a female, who is patient and knowledgeable about scared, timid dogs. Kirby is nervous when meeting new people and will require multiple visits with a prospective adopter before being ready to go to a new home. However, once Kirby trusts you he is loving, affectionate and the best company. Kirby is a staff and volunteer favorite. One volunteer has called him the love of your life kind of dog. Kirby would prefer to be the only animal in the family, but we don't think that is too much to ask. He has so much love to give and will thrive in the right home! . Kirby is UTD on vaccines, microchipped and neutered. Applications are being accepted and qualified applicants will be contacted. Half of Kirby's adoption fee is sponsored by a Jelly Place's volunteer.

Gondo is a charming 4-year-old schnauzer–terrier mix who came to us from a hoarding situation in the Central Valley. Despite a rough start, Gondo is showing just how much potential he has and is blossoming more every day in foster care. Gondo is a smart, curious little guy and a fast learner. He’s currently working on commands like sit, up, and off—and he’s picking them up quickly. He can be a bit of a climber (countertops beware!), but with clear boundaries and guidance, he’s eager to please and learn the rules. He has big opinions about food and definitely knows what he likes! His favorites include frozen yogurt, chicken broth, and Royal Canin kibble—great motivators for training and bonding. Gondo does well on leash and enjoys slow, treat-filled walks where he can sniff and explore the world at his own pace. He’s happiest wearing a harness that slips over his head and clips underneath. Stairs are a bit of a question mark for him—sometimes he’s hesitant, sometimes confident—so a home that’s patient and observant as he figures that out would be ideal. During the day, Gondo does wonderfully in an office or work-from-home environment, happily relaxing with short walks sprinkled throughout. In the evenings, his playful side comes out with bursts of energy—he especially loves amusing himself by playing with his reflection in mirrors! With structure, patience, and love, Gondo is going to be a loyal, entertaining, and deeply rewarding companion. He’s ready for a home that will continue building his confidence and help him shine. 💛
