Story
Kirby is a gorgeous 6 yo scruffy terrier mix, with the most beautiful amber eyes. He is a happy dog who loves to play with squeaky toys, take walks and relax on the couch with his favorite hoomans. He loves to dig for buried treasure and will let you dress him up in costumes for the different holidays. He is smart, walks great on a leash, is food motivated and eager to please. Kirby would make a great walking companion, but he's just as happy to lay at your feet, amuse himself with a toy or just relax until you are ready to take a break. Kirby is NOT a first time adopter dog. He needs a special and experienced adopter, preferably a female, who is patient and knowledgeable about scared, timid dogs. Kirby is nervous when meeting new people and will require multiple visits with a prospective adopter before being ready to go to a new home. However, once Kirby trusts you he is loving, affectionate and the best company. Kirby is a staff and volunteer favorite. One volunteer has called him the love of your life kind of dog. Kirby would prefer to be the only animal in the family, but we don't think that is too much to ask. He has so much love to give and will thrive in the right home! . Kirby is UTD on vaccines, microchipped and neutered. Applications are being accepted and qualified applicants will be contacted. Half of Kirby's adoption fee is sponsored by a Jelly Place's volunteer.

Story
Hello! I am looking for experienced adopter for an adorable dog. She was a stray so she is shy at first but once she warms up to you she is sweet and cuddly. She is learning how to walk on a leash but still needs more training. She is housetrained and lets us know when she needs to go outside to potty. She will need a secure and fenced in yard as she loves to be outside and adventure. She gets along with my elderly dog and my cats but I do not know how she would be with other animals as I do not know her history. She has never shown any aggression, ever, as far as I can tell. She loves my 11 year old. However, I have not seen her with smaller children. She loves attention and always wants to be near her person. She is always there to greet us when we come home. She will make the perfect family member for someone and just wants to be loved and give love back. Little Dog is listed with Wonder Dog Rescue and they have their own application + adoption fee which would cancel this fee :)

Story
Rex is a 4-year-old wire-haired terrier mix who is neutered and up to date on all vaccines. He’s one of the resilient dogs rescued from a backyard hoarding case in California’s Central Valley — and he is proving every day just how much heart he has. Since settling into foster care, Rex has been making steady, meaningful progress. He can be a bit anxious, but he’s learning that the world is safe and predictable. With a regular routine, he’s adjusting well and growing more comfortable each day. He’s starting to truly enjoy his daily walks and now allows his foster family to put his collar on without much trouble — a small victory that speaks volumes. After one early accident in the house, he’s been doing great with going potty outside and seems to understand that’s where “business” is done (and he genuinely enjoys his outdoor time!). Rex gets along very well with his foster sibling, Bori. He follows her around and clearly finds comfort in another confident dog, so he may thrive in a home with a balanced canine companion. He does have a bit of a competitive streak when it comes to attention and treats, so his foster family has been working with him on building trust and positive habits. With continued structure and guidance, Rex will continue to blossom. Beneath it all, Rex is a sensitive, loyal terrier who just needed someone to show him what stability feels like. He’s already come so far. If you’re patient, experienced, and ready to help a deserving dog continue his journey, Rex will reward you with deep loyalty and companionship.

Story
Millie is a darling, scruffy wire-haired terrier mix with a heart as big as her soulful eyes. About 20 pounds and estimated to be around one year old, Millie was found living in incredibly tough conditions—about 10 miles outside a Central Valley town, surrounded by orchards, with no houses nearby, surviving in a pile of trash. Despite her rough start, Millie’s spirit is pure sweetness. Millie is very lovable, gentle, and great with other dogs. She’s affectionate and eager to connect, and she blossoms with kindness and reassurance. It’s clear she’s ready to trade survival mode for a cozy home, soft beds, and people who adore her. Millie has been spayed, microchipped, and is up to date on vaccinations, and she’s now safe and ready to begin her next chapter. She would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a sweet, dog-friendly pup who will reward love with endless devotion. If you’re ready to give a deserving little survivor the happy life she’s always deserved, Millie might be your perfect match. 💛🐶
