Story
Sweet momma, Utopia and her five day old pups were one day away from being euthanized in a small south Texas animal control. Momma was scared and protective of her babies for a few days before she realized they were safe. NOW she is THE sweetest and most loving girl!! She needs a patient family, she is so happy with her foster mom but needs a confident and easy going family. She likely would do best with another confident dog.... she just needs to know you before she will just relax and get comfortable in your home. She is worth the wait :) She is doing good with potty training and is good with dogs and cats. She likes going for drives and walks good on a leash. She's got the cutest little tuft of fur on her head. She's smart and likes to play. Mama is likely a long haired/wire haired dachshund/terrier mix and the pups have the low rider qualities with heeler markings- ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE!! All pups adopted, just mama waiting!!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX adoption only)

Corky is a loving little guy with a BIG personality! He’s super active, playful, and always ready for fun. Toys? Yes please. Treats? Absolutely. New friends? He loves them all! Corky hasn’t met much he doesn’t like and brings happy energy everywhere he goes. This spunky boy would thrive in an active home with a family who enjoys outdoor adventures and will include him in the fun. He would also do best with another dog in the home who matches his playful, energetic spirit so they can zoom, wrestle, and burn off that puppy enthusiasm together. If you’re looking for a fun-loving companion to keep life exciting, Corky is your guy! Local adoption fee is $300(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $600 (includes transport to your area)

This sweetie is one of a litter of three - Zippy, Zest, and Zeal. They've enjoyed growing up together but now they're ready to split up and get their own homes. This young pup wants to see the world and is eagerly looking forward to having her own humans for sniffy walks and all the adventures they can dream up - and to make pup pals along the way. And dog school so she can show how super smart she is. And then pets and cuddles and belly scritches at the end of a fun day together. And she'll want quality kibble and a cushy dog bed. Most of all, though, she wants to know she's safe and loved. In exchange she promises all the adoring gazes and happy tail wags she's storing up, and loyal companionship for all her days. What do you say? Story
Please contact Destiny Sibert (DestinyS@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.sweet scruffy girl ISO fresh start and love! JACKIE NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!! Name:  Jackie       Best Guess for Breed:  Wire haired terrier mix   Best Guess for Age:  4.5 years as of January 2026   SEX:   Female   Approximate Weight:  43 lbs   Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We haven't seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:  DC area foster home   Special adoption considerations: Jackie is a truly Lucky Dog. She tested positive for heartworms, but has been treated! Heartworm is not contagious to people or other pets, but results from mosquito bites. Heartworm, if left untreated, is life threatening, but after treatment, dogs that were heartworm positive should suffer no significant long-term effects so long as they are kept on a monthly heartworm preventative. Heartworm dogs can resume full active and normal lives, but need to be kept calm for 4-6 weeks after treatment. Jackie has completed this activity restriction period.    Jackie is Looking For:  Her forever home! This sweet girl landed in the shelter through no fault of her own. At a bit under five years old, she's past her puppy days but is up for adventure - she's eager for sniffy walks and world exploration with her humans! A cushy dog bed, quality kibble, and lots of snuggles round out her wish list. What do you say? Do you have space in your home and your heart for Jackie? What My Foster Says About Me:  Jackie is very sweet and friendly to people and dogs. She has not had an accident in the house. She is very good in the crate and enjoys playing fetch and tug. She is a higher energy dog, but is well balanced -she is able to settle and nap when left alone. She rarely barks (only at squirrels). She takes feedback on what not to chew very well, and seems like she could be trained further very easily. She is very smart! Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT:    The adoption fee for this dog is $475, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations, spay/neuter, and heartworm treatment.  If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online at bit.ly/adoptaluckydog   Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption. Story
Jack Jack was adopted from barcs rescue at 2 months old and has just turned a year old. He is a very active and playful dog, however he can be very reactive and tends to nip as well. He is not formally trained, therefore he needs a new home with a family/ person who is experienced with dogs who are reactive and nips. He also needs a home where he can be interacted with and able to let his energy out (he tends to be very cool calm and collected after an appropriate length play session/running session ). Overall, I really would love for him to be with a family or person who has genuine love for animals but are able to manage having a dog who can be reactive and nippy. With some training and some tlc, I believe Jack Jack could be a great addition.

Story
This animal is a Courtesy Post. We are working with the owner to rehome Frankie & Nori. These 2 must be adopted TOGETHER!The owner would like for you to still submit an application with us to adopt Frankie & Nori. The Furry Paws Foster Inn cannot guarantee the vetting that the owner has done for Frankie & Nori and it would be up to the new adopter to obtain these records from the current owner.Below you will find the bio for Frankie & Nori by the owner:Frankie is a very loving, caring, and nosy pup! He will eat absolutely anything, and sleeps 90% of the time. He LOVES playing with his bff Nori (his brother, a jack russell mix.) he’s completely house trained and will let you know when he needs to use the bathroom as he stands by the door. He does destroy his toys, so I suggest rope or hard bones!Nori is the most loyal, sweetest boy. It genuinely breaks my heart to rehome him. He listens well and always wants attention and pets. He loves being pet, but most of all LOVES tennis balls that squeak, please buy him some. He loves naps with his brother (frankie, a boston terrier also up for adoption with him.)Nori is skiddish of loud noises especially when things are dropped. These 2 must be adopted TOGETHER!Owner notes both animals are fixed and current on Rabies & Bordetella.
