We haven't seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:   South Carolina shelter; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here.   Krista is Looking For:    This cutie landed in the shelter due to no fault of her own but she's closed that chapter. Now she's ready for her new chapter and is looking for a loving home to call her own. Krista would love going for nice long walks, playing with other dogs, and going to dog school to show you how super smart she is. A Sato is a Puerto Rican street dog, and Lucas has already experienced more change and loss than any young dog should. Lucas was one of multiple dogs rescued from a home in Puerto Rico after their rescuer unexpectedly passed away. Thanks to donations and supporters, Coffee and Paws Rescue was able to step in and save the dogs before they were left with nowhere to go. Despite everything, Lucas has a happy, sweet personality and absolutely loves other dogs. He is settling into foster care and learning what life in a home is all about. Lucas is currently working on crate, leash, and potty training and continues to gain confidence each day. After surviving life on the streets and then losing his rescuer, Lucas is simply looking for a safe, loving place to rest his head and finally feel secure again. Otey is an approximately 2-year-old terrier mix weighing in at about 21 pounds of pure personality and sweetness. What started as us helping a homeless dog turned into several weeks of fostering, loving, and getting this goofy little guy fully vetted, vaccinated, and freshly neutered — and now he’s ready to find his forever home. ❤️ Otey is: ✔️ House trained ✔️ Extremely cuddly and affectionate ✔️ Funny, talkative, and full of personality ✔️ Great at making you feel like you’re never alone ✔️ Still a little puppy-ish and learning every day He’s also a bit of a scaredy cat with noises and can be an escape artist, so he would do best in a home with a securely fenced yard. Off-leash recall is definitely still a work in progress. 😅 Otey has done well in a home environment and really just wants someone to love him as much as we have.
