Story
Rio is a distinguished gentleman. He’s a 5 year, neutered, Wirehaired Pointing Griffon. He’s pretty neutral to other dogs in public with a little space, but will need more work on this. I provide free training support to get him settled and continue his progress. He may be able to have some dog pals in the future with enough work, & possibly can be acclimated to cats due to low prey drive. Rio loves to cuddle but also has a sense of independence, so he’s not clingy. He’s always ready to play! We really think that he’d love a home with children, he’s done fantastic with them coming and going in his pet sitter’s house. Rio is very smart and is a quick learner. He comes with free training support, obedience and tricks. He knows that people count on him for unconditional love and laugher. Will you be his new family?

Currently fostered in: Brooklyn Park, MD 💜Meet Thea!💜 Although Thea is a bit of a shy and quiet pup, she loves to settle in for a cozy snuggle. Once comfortable she is very playful and quirky- usually getting the zoomies and running around with her favorite toys! She is still working on all the basics of puppyhood (but making amazing progress!) If you're ready to add a bundle of love and fun to your life- look no further! Thea is waiting for you! Included Veterinary Care: Thea is up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipped, and receiving heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives along with routine parasite treatments. Her adoption fee covers future spay through one of our veterinary partners.

Flo-Retriever/Pointer X female, ~ 3-4yr. (July 2024)(Photos taken July 2024) Contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for an application. Flo came to Rescue with her 5 tiny puppies, from a high kill big city shelter. She and her babies on the list to lose their lives to euthanasia that very day. This was happening only because the shelter was way overwhelmed with dogs needing homes. Flo went into a rescue foster home and has proved to be an excellent dog. She been a good mother, raised her babies and has settled in to family life. She's about 50-55#, full of intelligence and life. She plays well with the other foster dogs, is very social. She's an active young adult and will enjoy a life that is active. Best of all, she loves people and wants to interact with humans. She would be an excellent hiking or walking partner. Flo can be a little too interested in cats, so she's looking for homes that does not have cats. Flo's adoption fee is $350 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption . Bailey-Lab/Pointer X female, 4 yr. (Feb. 2024) Email rescuebc@hotmail.com for an application. Bailey is a beautiful girl, adopted from the Rescue as a puppy. Her owner can no longer care for her and asked the Rescue to help her find a new home. She's housetrained, and gets along well with other dogs. She's not lived with little children but does know teenagers and does well with them. She is about 55# and likes an active life. Would be a good running or walking partner. She has never lived with cats, so they are an unknown. Her adoption fee is $350 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption.
