Adoption Fee: $475 When available, all animals are fixed in accordance with Colorado law, up to date on vaccines (may need boosters), and microchipped! What we know: Mama Chiquita (2yrs) and her baby Ben (~2.5wks) transferred to CPR from From Texas With Love. Two feral chihuahuas were living under a shed being fed by an older woman in the area. With cold coming, they went to get them and found 2 remaining puppies from an initial litter of 5 belonging to Chiquita - 3 had passed. Puppy #2 passed in foster in TX. From the foster: Benjamin (aka Benji) is an adorable, affectionate, sweet, and very playful “little man”. He is the surviving puppy of a litter of 5 Chihuahuas. He and his mother, Mama Chiquita (aka Coco), were rescued and transported to Colorado. Coco and Benji were placed in our foster home when Benji was just 3-weeks old; and it’s been a pleasure caring for them both. Coco has been a wonderful mom to Benji. She is a 6.7 lb. Chihuahua who is sweet, loving, and gentle. She has taught her “little man” the things he needs to know for a great start in life. Benji loves to give kisses and cuddle with his people. He is playful with other dogs but can also play independently. He loves to fetch his tiny tennis ball; and he’s learning to bring it back. He loves to be with his people but may vocalize when he’s feeling left out. Benji is full of puppy joy. He loves to play hard and then crash for little naps throughout the day. He’s eating dry puppy food (small/mini bites), drinking water from his bowl, 90% successful using puppy pads, and has mastered running up and down a dog ramp. This “little man” is ready for his forever family! www.coloradopuppy.org/how-to-adopt

Story
Bucky (Buckwheat) is a very very special Chorkie. I was able to save him from a hard situation where he was not getting the interaction and love he needed. Ive only had him for about 7 months and since then he has blossomed into the most amazing little companion. Hes best friends with my other dog Noodle and he loves to play and roughhouse. That being said he does like to yap at people and dogs passing by on walks but has never showed aggressive behavior. He can get a little overwhelmed with smaller children so I think hed prefer a home without kiddos but would definitely love another dog. I did not know that I was going to be moving when I got him but am now moving to a different country and cannot afford to bring him with me. I really do hope he can find an amazing home thatll baby him and give him all of the treats he loves. He will come with his bed, some toys, and his crate.
