Story
Apply online at www.lolasrescue.com Meet Cuete, the Quirky Clown Looking for His Forever Family! If you're looking for a one-of-a-kind companion, Cuete is your guy! This lovable adult Xoloitzcuintli (Mexican Hairless dog) is 37lbs of personality, charm, and quirks. Cuete is the type of dog that will keep you laughing with his funny antics, but he also has a soft, affectionate side that's all about bonding with his humans. Cuete is a bit of an independent spirit and much prefers the company of his people over other dogs. He can coexist with other dogs, but slow, patient introductions are key to his comfort. Cuete does have a tendency to claim his space (and his toys!) and isn’t a fan of sharing, so a home without small children would be ideal. When he's not stealing the spotlight with his antics, Cuete is an expert counter surfer and has no problem hopping over 4ft fences (he’s got some serious jumping skills!). He’s crate trained and mostly potty trained, though he does enjoy letting his voice be heard from time to time—apartment living might require some patience with his barking. Cuete is currently working through some skin issues, and his biopsy has shown a possible autoimmune endocrine condition that may require medication and careful experimentation with diet and soothing remedies. His future family should be understanding and patient as we continue to monitor and treat his condition. If you’re an experienced dog owner who can offer Cuete the love and attention he deserves—and a little space for his quirky personality—he just might be the perfect fit for you! Dogs that state ***RESCUE CENTER*** are available for meet and greets by appointment at Lola's Rescue Center located at 22351 E. Bayaud Place, Aurora CO 80018 Dogs that state ***FOSTER HOME*** will need to have a preapproved application on file before setting up meet and greets.  You can email Info@lolasrescue.com anytime with questions pertaining to animals in our care.  ##2264471##

Story
Hi there, I’m Chief! I’m a tiny Chihuahua/Terrier mix trying to navigate this big, exciting, sometimes-spooky world. I may be small, but I’ve got a huge love for one thing… blankets. If you give me a soft blankie and a toy to cuddle, I’m the happiest little guy around. I’m proud to say I seem to have this whole potty-training thing down, and I sleep soundly through the night! I’m still learning how to walk on a leash and explore new places—new things can be a little scary for me—but I’m trying my best. I haven't had the chance to meet too many dogs yet since I was recovering from Kennel cough but when they walk by, I don’t mind them at all. What I’m really looking for is someone with patience, kindness, and a big heart—someone who will let me slowly come out of my shell and show the world who I really am. I might be timid right now, but with the right family, I know I’ll shine. If you think you’ve got room in your heart (and lots of blankies!) for a sweet little guy like me, I’d love to come home with you. ##2602492##
