Story
Adoption Fee: $475 - I'm already spayed/neutered! All animals are UTD on vaccines (may need boosters) and microchipped From the foster: UPDATE May 2025 - Luna is nervous and agitated by the constant activity around her home as it's an attached unit with people in the neighboring units coming and going frequently. She is protective of her home in a typical dog fashion, but when something out of the ordinary happens outside, or when the kids in her home are playing loudly, she gets more worked-up than usual and the other dog in her home tries to intervene and there's a squabble. While there have not been any injuries, Luna seems unsettled in her home and we think a different dynamic would put her at ease. Especially being a former mama dog, we'd really like her to be happy in her home. While not hard and fast rules, we think Luna would thrive as the only dog in her home. She craves attention and not having to share it would be her dream. We also think Luna would do best without kids under 16, not because she's not good with kids but because she's happier when things are calm and the humans are predictable. Luna doesn't have to have her own yard, but she would love a daily walk/sniff to help her get some of her dog-instincts met with new smells and familiarizing herself with her environment. If you think Luna might be a good fit for you, please email us at foster@coloradopuppy.org to set-up a meet and greet. Luna will not be attending adoption events without a meet and greet set up in advance. The info below the line is Luna's original bio from when she was adopted in 2024. __________________________________________________ This sweet girl we have been calling Luna, is the absolute best dog I have ever known!! She is so cuddly and playful. She is wonderful with bigger kids (my kids are 8 and 11) - she might be anxious around small children that are less predictable. She sleeps through the night in her crate inside of a play pen so I didn't have to feel guilty locking her in her crate not knowing her history. She hasn't had any accidents inside our home - she will willingly use a puppy pad if she needs to go indoors. She is great at going potty in a yard or on a walk. At first, she didn't want to walk on a leash but after practicing for a few minutes in the backyard, where she was in full control, she ended up going on a really nice little walk around the block. You just need to be a little patient with her because she will want to stop and look at any cars, human friends, or bicyclist that might be passing by. She is super playful and will play nip as she's playing, but she's very gentle. She has never nipped at me in an aggressive manner. I've only heard her growl a few times, but if you are calm with her and let her come to you on her own terms, her unease is very short-lived. She loves to come to you and snuggle on her own terms (which will be very frequently). She is very good at dancing on her two hind legs and will jump, when she is excited to see you. Please know that this pup will be skittish to meet you, but if you give her time on her own terms, she will open up and blossom and just be the cutest thing you've ever seen! She loves to play ball and tug-of-war and chase you all over the backyard. I leave a food dish and water dish available to her all day she will gobble it down pretty darn quickly when she's ready! She hasn't seemed very interested in treats...she is hugely motivated by affection. So if she stops on a walk to watch the birds or the cars go by giving her some loving rubs and telling her she's a good girl she'll be excited to start walking again. I hope she finds the best home ever because she's truly the BEST fur-baby!! www.coloradopuppy.org/how-to-adopt

Story
Meet Chuck (a.k.a. Chucky) – The 13lb Scruffy Kissing Bandit! This 1.5-year-old terrier mix (maybe with some Chi?) is the happiest lil’ derp this side of the Rockies! With his scruffy black-and-tan coat and wildly overflowing “kissy tank,” Chuck is ready to smother his forever people in love. Rescued from the brink of euthanasia in a Texas shelter, he now lives his best life in Colorado—and he’s ready to keep the good vibes going in his forever home. Chuck is crate trained, rides great in the car (front console preferred, please!), walks well on leash, and is picking up potty training like a champ. He LOVES puzzle toys, squeaky things, and fetch—even if he doesn’t always bring it back. Super food motivated and quick to learn, this smart cookie already knows how to sit and is eager to please. Chuck is affectionate, snuggly, and full of zest. He’ll follow you from room to room like your tiny, loyal shadow. While he’s good with adults and seniors, he would do best in a home without young children. He coexists peacefully with a dog savvy cat, and has done well with the dogs we've introduced him to! Whether he’s zooming around the yard, nuzzling into your lap, or staring lovingly into your soul with those “forever kind of love” eyes, Chuck is pure joy in a scruffy little package. *** Go to www.pawsitiverestorations.com to learn all about our dogs, watch their silly videos, read our adoption process, and to submit an adoption application. Inquiries made on this site will not be seen! Visiting our website will answer all of your questions. Thank you! 🐶🐾

Story
0325041 - Meet Winter – Your Little Foxy Companion! Hi! My name is Winter, but my foster family calls me Winnie. I’m a sweet little 9-month-old pup who looks just like a baby fox – all 8 pounds of me are full of love, charm, and curiosity! I thrive in calm environments and love to snuggle up with my people. I get along great with other small dogs and might even warm up to a big, gentle one – or I’d be just as happy being your one and only. I’m a smart girl and love learning new things. Training comes easily to me, and I’ve already mastered crate time (I love my cozy crate!). I’m almost fully potty trained and getting better every day. I’m also super athletic – I adore walks and playtime! Sometimes new situations make me a little nervous, but once I feel safe, my loving and playful personality shines.  If you have kids I would do best with kids 8yo+. My foster mom is a holistic veterinarian, and thanks to her care, I’m thriving! She hopes my forever family will be interested in continuing my healthy, holistic lifestyle. I’ve been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested for heartworm – I’m all set and ready to find my forever home! Think we’re meant to be? Apply to adopt me at www.sloppykisses.org/adoptions – I can’t wait to meet you! ##2374804##

Story
Meet Lady, a 1.5-year-old Chihuahua mix! Lady is a cuddly lovebug who enjoys being with her human on the couch, in bed, and basically any place her human is, she will be. Lady is a very small, cautious, but precious little thing who loves to give kisses, play with her toys, and especially enjoys her outside time. She is learning how to walk on a leash while in a harness, and she quickly learned how to use the dog door with the help of her foster sisters. With full access to that dog door, she is fully potty-trained. Lady has also learned her name very quickly and fell into a routine with her foster siblings quite easily. Lady hasn't yet fully learned the concept of playing fetch, but she loves chasing balls and frolicking in the grass. Lady hasn't been around cats or small children, and her current home is fairly calm and quiet, which is her cup of tea. She gets along very well with other small dogs and would be a beautiful addition to a family. Lady is up to date on vaccinations, spayed, and microchipped. Apply to meet sweet Lady today! Adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter Rabies Vaccination Distemper / Parvo Vaccines (includes series of 3 for puppies) Bordetella Microchip with prepaid lifetime registration Deworming ##2131322##

Story
See that girl, watch her preen, Annie’s our prancing queen!!!  Meet Annie a 2 year old chihuahua mix. Annie is a joyful noodle girl who loves to play. Annie seems to be learning what it is like to live in a house with human friends for the first time. She has mastered snuggling on the couch, playing with her foster brother and how squeaky toys work. She knows sit and is working on her leash skills and potty training, this girl will have it down in no time! Annie is gaining confidence day by day but new people and city noises are still a little scary.  Annie loves hanging out with her small foster brother and would do great in a home with or without another small pup. She's also cat friendly! Annie is still learning how to show affection to her human friends, so she would be best in a house with no or older children. She is such a sweet pup who is so ready to be loved. Reach out to meet Annie the prancing queen today!  Adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter Rabies Vaccination Distemper / Parvo Vaccines (includes series of 3 for puppies) Bordetella Microchip with prepaid lifetime registration Deworming ##2101798##

Story
Giss is a friendly little guy who gets along well with other dogs, large and small, and is cat friendly. He can sleep a solid 7-8 hours overnight in his crate with hardly a peep. It took him a few days to settle into his foster home, but once he did, his happy, fun personality came out. He’s around 95% housetrained — just needs to stay in a good routine — and is getting better every day at walking on a leash. Giss will make a great companion in any type of household. Giss is a 1.5 year old Chihuahua mix and up to date on vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped.  Adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter Rabies Vaccination Distemper / Parvo Vaccines (includes series of 3 for puppies) Bordetella Microchip with prepaid lifetime registration Deworming ##2131320##
