Story
Linus has healed from his neuter and dental and is officially ready for his forever home. Here’s what his foster mom has to share:“Linus walks nicely on a leash but prefers shorter outings. He likes to stay close to his person and, once he settles in, would happily be a lapdog. He enjoys toys, treats, and mealtime—and isn’t shy about letting you know if he thinks things aren’t happening quickly enough. For such a small guy, he has a big bark! He’s learning that patience pays off and is currently working on “sit” and “stay.” Linus gets along well with other dogs, though he doesn’t engage in play. When he first arrived, he had a few potty accidents while learning his routine, but he clearly prefers going outside rather than using potty pads. At bedtime, Linus puts himself to sleep and sleeps through the night, choosing either an open kennel or a bed on the floor. He likes to be with his person, so a home where someone works from home, or is home most of the time would be ideal.”Because of his small size, he weighs just 5.37 lbs, we are looking for a home without children. If you’re interested in adopting Linus, please submit an application at www.rescuerowinc.org.

Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs.
