Story
Greetings, my name is FLOOFI (now Maggie) and I'm here in the Lower Mainland. I am looking for my person who will love me forever. After such a tough start, I deserve a home where I will be cherished always and one I can give all my heart to in return. Here's a bit of information about me: Breed: Yorkshire terrier mix Age: 11 months Gender: Female Weight: 4.5 kg Energy: Moderate Highlights: playful. Funny, loving, affectionate I'm good with: Dogs but not cats or kids.  Fears: I'm working on being seperated from my person. I have made a lot of progress. Please be patient. House trained: yes. Please help me learn where to go in my new home. Health: I'm spayed and vaccinated and have been checked out by a vet since I've come to Canada.  Shedding: No. Needs to be groomed regularly to prevent mattes. Adoption fee: $850 plus tax Location: Port Coquitlam but originally from the Middle east About me - Want a cuddly little bug to snuggle up to during those cold Canadian winter nights? Well, you've found just the right girl. I am the cuddly type critter. I love my person, my toys and treats. Especially chew sticks. Since coming to Canada I've learned my new name, Maggie. I'm now working on how to sit and stay.  I go in the car everywhere my foster mom goes,  I love to cuddle and I love to play. I am learning to walk on a leash and I pretty good at learning new things. I good when introduced to dogs while on walks. When I'm tired I like to fall asleep in your arms. My story: In a quiet village, there lived a puppy. But instead of running, playing, and discovering the world, she was kept inside a bird cage. The cage was so small that she couldn’t even stretch her legs. She watched the sky through the wires and dreamed of freedom, warmth, and gentle hands to hold her. Yup, you guessed it. That was me.Most people walked by without noticing but one day, a kind person saw my big, sad eyes. Those eyes seemed to whisper, “Please, I just want to be loved.”That person couldn’t forget me. Soon, they came back, opened the cage, and carefully lifted me out. For the first time, this little girl felt fresh air without bars around me. I stretched, I wagged my tail, and I looked up with hope. Thanks to kind rescuers, my life has changed.Ideal home: I am currently in a foster home in the Lower Mainland. They adore me but it turns out I am very jealous of my person, I will try to stop any other person from getting close them. I need a home with a single person I can give all my love to with no cats. I need someone who has time and patience and a lot of love and cuddles to give.  Health notes: I have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee is $850.00 CAD plus applicable taxes.  Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems. Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. [MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East. ##2497889##

Story
Introducing Mylo, the 9 month old Yorkshire Terrier mix weighing 12 pounds and patiently waiting for his forever family. ☺️ Mylo is figuring out this whole "good life" thing and he's decided he's into it! Mylo is a gentle soul who approaches new doggy friends with caution. Slow intros are his vibe and once he's comfortable, you'll see his playful side shine through. Mylo would do best in a home with older kids who are patient, loving and know how to spoil him. 😉 Mylo walks like a pro on leash. You'll sometimes find his one ear pointing in the direction he wants to go. 😂 He's great in his crate and he's even mastered potty training! Just a heads up though....Mylo much prefers to do his business on rock or gravel instead of grass. 🤷 Mylo can get a little obsessed with the female in the house. Like, hopelessly affectionate. He'll shower her with affection, loyalty and maybe even a little awkward staring. 😍 Mylo has been described as part goat. He loves to climb, perch and survey his kingdom from high places. Mylo has two speeds - napping under your desk like a cozy burrito and zoomies around the yard. He's not very food motivated but prefers soft food, warmed up if possible....thank you very much! 😉 Mylo is the perfect work-from-home companion, walking buddy and cuddle bug. If you're looking for a loyal sidekick with goat-like climbing skills, zoomie energy and world-class snuggling abilities, Mylo is your perfect match! 💙 **At this time, Mylo has not been tested with cats.
