Story
Meet Shaggy, a sweet and affectionate dog looking for a forever home with his brother, Gucci. Shaggy loves scratches and being picked up for some extra cuddles. He knows some tricks and has a long coat that will need regular grooming to keep him looking his best.Shaggy can be quite vocal, and it is suspected that he may have some deafness, which can make him a bit louder at times. He absolutely loves attention and doesn't mind sharing it with his brother, Gucci. Like his brother, Shaggy can be a picky eater and sometimes prefers to be hand-fed.Shaggy and Gucci share a special bond and are looking for a home where they can stay together. They seem to prefer other smaller-sized dog friends over larger ones. If you're ready to welcome two loving companions into your life, Shaggy and Gucci are waiting to meet you!Do you think you could be Shaggy's person? Here are some ways to find out:1.) Visit our centre to meet this pet during adoption viewings Friday to Wednesday noon to 3pm, learn more about their ideal match, and apply to adopt in person; or2.) Submit an online application adopt.spca.bc.ca and staff will contact the first suitable adopter to set-up a visit! Story
Hi. My name is Coby and here is some info about me: Breed: Yorkshire Terrier/Malteese (Morkie)Age: 1.5 YearGender: MaleWeight: 11 lbHeight: 10 inch Highlight(s): Good with other dogs, cats, people, no sign of aggression or guarding. PERFECT boy Hey there, I'm Coby. Life hasn't always been easy for me, but I've never lost hope. You see, I used to have a family. They were my world, my everything. But one day, they decided they no longer wanted me and my brother because they were welcoming a new baby.  They left us outside of a shelter, and that's where my journey took a turn. My brother has since found his forever family, and I've been living at the shelter for over a year-- every day hopeful of finding my forever family. I may be small, but my heart is big, I tell ya! I get along with everyone– dogs, people, and even those mysterious creatures called cats.  I'm always up for a game of fetch or tug-of-war. Friendly is my middle name, and I'll wag my tail at anyone who crosses my path. Resource guarding? Aggression? Not in my vocabulary. I'm happy to share my space and toys with my furry friends. But deep down, I dream of something more. I dream of a family who will love me unconditionally, who will give me lots of belly rubs and scratches behind the ears. I long for daily walks, trips to the doggie park, and maybe even adventures at the beach. I want to make memories – lots and lots of fun memories – with my family by my side. So if you're out there, searching for a pint-sized furry friend to bring joy and laughter into your life, here I am!!  With my adorable looks and happy-go-lucky personality, I know I'll make the perfect addition to any loving home. Are you ready to make my dreams come true? Because I'm ready to shower you with all the love and affection in my heart. Let's make memories together – forever and always. Energy Level: Medium/high.  Requires daily physical activities. I get along with:Dogs: yesCats: yesKids: unknown, rescuer states yes, but no video proof Fears: Unknown/none observed. Please be patient assisting me in my transition. Training: minimal, please be patient with me. I am a very fast learner and given the opportunity, I will learn all the tricks there is in no time.Leash skills: yes. Please be prepared to continue training me.House trained:Please be prepared to help me learn where to go in my new home.  Health notes: I have been neutered, dewormed, microchipped and up to date on my vaccination. My adoption fee is $850.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems. Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. ##2106451##

THIS IS A COURTESY POST. PLEASE CONTACT THE PERSON OR GROUP LISTED BELOW. THIS IS NOT A LOVED AT LAST DOG. DO NOT SUBMIT AN APPLICATION THROUGH US. Please contact Mona at monar_9@yahoo.com for more information or to adopt. Hi everyone, I am the handsome Hugo and here's some information about me: Age: 12.5 years old (I will turn 13 in September)Breed: Yorshire TerrierWeight: 3.5 kgGender: Neutered Male As a distinguished gentleman of advanced years, I am looking for a home where I can feel safe and be your one and only companion. I love humans (adults and older kids) and adore being cuddled, snuggling up with you under the blanket, receiving belly rubs and giving you lots of love in return! When I get particularly playful, I like to hide my toy pillow and have you find it. I'm a sensitive guy and I do get anxious when left alone. It would be great if you could take me along with you on your adventures outside the home, or if you are a homebody and spend a lot of time at home, that would suit me just fine. Consider me the perfect home companion. I know all the basic commands, and I am house trained and up to date with all my vaccines. About 4 years ago, I had a knee surgery and I am walking well, although jumping is not recommended for me. While I am generally healthy for a guy of my age, I do need daily eye drops for dry eyes and I am currently on a low fat GI dry food diet.  An adoption fee of $300 applies. THIS IS A COURTESY POST. PLEASE CONTACT THE PERSON OR GROUP LISTED BELOW. THIS IS NOT A LOVED AT LAST DOG.   Please contact Mona at monar_9@yahoo.com for more information or to adopt. ##2089949##
