Story
Hiya! I am RAMON and here is some info about me! PHYSICAL INFO: Breed: Yorkie/Mini-Schnauzer mix  Age: approx. 3 years Gender: Male Weight: 11.5 lbs (5.2 kg) Height (paws to top of head): 41 cm Height (paws to shoulders): 31 cm Length (nose to bum): 53 cm Neck circumference: 23 cm Chest circumference: 45 cm Current Location: Mexico City NOTE: please excuse my rather unfortunate haircut in some of my pics, hehe! It will grow back! RESCUE STORY - I was rescued last August after I was found abandoned in the dog park; sadly a common way for owners to get rid of their pets here in Mexico. I must have had a home before, but nothin is known about my past life. I had pneumonia and was hospitalized for two weeks after rescue, but I made a full recovery and am a healthy boy now, ready to find my forever home!  TEMPERAMENT - I love playing with dogs and people. I'm also comfy resting and chilling by myself too. I currently live in a shelter where I share a room with 16 dogs of all ages and sizes and I haven't shown any resource guarding. I'm well socialized with people, including children. I get excited when meeting people on my walks and I'm friendly pretty much from the first moment (video). Fun fact, I sometimes let out an adorable, random howl hehe (video), but other than that I'm not an overly vocal dog. I also have a charming little underbite. ENERGY LEVEL - Medium. I'm a happy medium for energy - I like playing but once I've had my mental and physical exercise, I'm happy to chill and cuddle.  GETS ALONG WITH: Kids – Older children, yes. I met an older child on my walk and was fairly comfortable (video). I don't have any experience with young kiddos since being rescued. as with ALL dogs, I should always be supervised around children and I need to have my space respected. It's important to remember I am a rescue pup with minimal training, so I may play nip or bounce/jump up on people (including children!)  Dogs – Yup! I live with lots of other dogs at the shelter, and we get along great. I'm a pretty social doggo who likes the presence of other dogs. I'm neutral when meeting new dogs on walks (video). Cats – Unknown PREY DRIVE - Unknown. I’m not too sure how I’ll react around cats/squirrels/rabbits etc. My adopter needs to be prepared and willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise. TRAINING: Leash skills – Walking on leash is a work in progress for me (video). I don't pull really, but I'm a bit chaotic and I get distracted by dogs, people and noises. I tend to seek attention from the person walking me instead of focusing on moving forward. I don't love walking near traffic and I prefer to keep some distance from the road. I think I'd like a home in a quiet area where there's not lots of traffic (perhaps I'm not a city boy). I'm looking for an adopter who can help me work on my leash skills; dedicated leash training and a well fitted collar or harness will help set me up for success! House trained – Work in progress! Frequent potty breaks and positive reinforcement will help me learn housetraining in my new home :) HEALTH NOTES: I am neutered and vaccinated. I will come to Canada with proof of all my vaccines and test records. NOTE: I had one retained testicle, but had it removed when I was neutered.  I receive a monthly pill to prevent heartworm. NOTE: It is not uncommon for rescue dogs to require dental work/cleaning after they are adopted. West Coast Paws does not cover the costs of dental work and/or vet visits. These costs are the financial responsibility of the adopter.  ADOPTION FEE: My adoption fee is $840.00 CAD ($750 + 7% PST and 5% GST), which includes my airfare, if a flight volunteer is found directly to Vancouver. ------------------------------------- DISCLAIMER: Please visit wcpdogrescue.com to read about West Coast Paws Dog Rescue and it's adoption process. The info included in each WCP bio is provided to us from the international rescuer. WCP does not have in-person access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions, although we ask for video proof of a dog's attributes wherever possible. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person(s) adopting them and the environment in which they live.  WCP is unable to guarantee the accuracy of a dogs age and/or breed. These are strictly "best guesses" based on veterinary exams and their educated estimates. ##2606690##

Story
📍Currently located in South Korea ✈️ Available to fly to YVR/YYZ 💙 Name: Soobin 💙 Gender: Female 💙 Age: Estimated 1 year old (Born in December 2024) 💙 Weight: 3.2 kg / 7.05 lb 💙 Adogs News Account: @_adogs_ 1⃣ Health Condition * Spayed. * Microchipped, currently undergoing heartworm treatment, and fully recovered from coronavirus and giardia. 2⃣ Rescue Story * Soobin was rescued on the day Adogs was volunteering at the Gimje City Shelter to prepare for winter. At the time, an infectious disease was spreading through the shelter, and the weather was becoming increasingly cold. Realizing Soobin would not be able to survive those conditions, we urgently brought her into our care. 3⃣ Basic Information * With People: Can be a bit cautious around strangers, but she isn’t naturally timid. Once she gets used to someone, she is likely to open up quickly. * With Dogs: Tends to bark warily when she sees other dogs moving in front of her. * With Cats: Has not been introduced to them yet. * Separation Anxiety: Difficult to determine at this time as she is currently living in a group setting at our center. * Potty Training: Since she lives at our center, she currently only relieves herself outdoors. * Hygiene: Her reaction is unknown as she has not had much experience with professional grooming yet. * Walks: Due to her ongoing heartworm treatment, her walks are strictly restricted, so her leash manners are yet to be determined. * Car Sickness: Hasn't had enough experience in cars to determine if she gets motion sickness. * Has shown no signs of biting or mouthing. * Barks sensitively at the movements of other dogs, but this may be due to the unfamiliar environment. We are continuing to monitor her. * Loves treats! Even if she is feeling a bit shy about being touched, she will still accept treats from your hand.

Story
Greetings, I'm FLOOFY (but you can call me Maggie), and here is a bit of info about me: Breed: Yorkshire terrier mixAge: 11 monthsGender: FemaleWeight: 4.5 kgCountry of origin: Middle East Current location: Port Coquitlam, BCHighlights: playful. Funny, loving, affectionate A tiny, affectionate survivor who once dreamed of freedom from a cage and is now looking for a single person to be her whole world. In a quiet village, there once lived a puppy who couldn't run or play.Instead, a tiny bird cage was my entire world, so small I couldn’t even stretch my legs.Watching the sky through those wires, my heart dreamed of warmth and gentle hands. Most people walked by, but one day, a kind person saw the plea in my big, sad eyes. They came back, opened the cage, and lifted me into the fresh air for the very first time.Since that moment, stretching my legs and wagging my tail with hope has become my new favorite thing! Being a "cuddly little bug," I’m the perfect companion for snuggling during those cold Canadian winter nights.Since arriving here, learning my new name, Maggie, and mastering "sit" and "stay" has been a fun adventure. "Car rides make me a great travel buddy, and despite being small, my heart is huge for toys and chew sticks. When the day ends, there’s nothing better than falling asleep right in your arms. I can be very protective of my person and don't like sharing it with others! My ideal match is a single-person household without cats or kids.I need someone who has the time and patience to help me feel secure. In return, I’ll give you all the love and loyalty my little heart can hold. Energy Level: Moderate I get along with:Dogs: Yes (Good with introductions)Cats: NoKids: No FEARS:Separation Anxiety, but I’ve made great progress. Training: House trained: Yes. Leash skills: In progress and doing well. Grooming: Non-shedding; needs regular grooming to prevent mats. Health notes: I have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee is $850.00 CAD plus applicable taxes.  Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems. Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. [MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East. ##2497889##
