Story
Mr. P can best be described as a cat in a dog's body! He lives a simple life and enjoys finding a comfy corner to lay down in and watch the world go by. He likes to keep to himself, and as a senior pup he just wants a safe home to live out the rest of his golden years in.  Piki will co-exist with other dogs in the home once he gets to know them - he enjoys going for pack walks and watching his foster siblings run around. He is potty trained but still needs to use a belly band to avoid occasional marking, which is common for male dogs.  Mr. P has a collapsing trachea, so he would do best in a quiet home to not aggrevate his cough by barking. He has lameness in his back legs, causing him to occassionally stumble while walking. Despite his age, Piki has a pep in his step and will bring cat joy in dog form for many more years to come.  He is a part of Thrive's Forever Foster Program - Thrive will cover all age related medical care to keep your Forever Foster comfortable and thriving.  Piki has been with us waiting for his forever home since May 2023.  ##1781400##

Story
Parky is a 7 year old Yorkie! I got him when I was about 12, and I now have him with me in college. This has been a challenge, and is sadly not sustainable for us. He is a real sweet heart, just the absolute cutest, but can get a big protective at times. He loves going on walks, is incredibly food motivated and loves a yummy meal. He is quite smart and able to pick up new tricks/lessons quickly. He has some very serious separation anxiety, so I am hoping to find him a family where he will be able to have company and love as much as possible. He is teensy tiny (about 4.5 lbs), and is a great lap dog.

Story
We are looking for a hospice foster or adopter for this little guy. Bam Bam's previous owner knew he had some medical issues but could not afford his care so she decided to turn him into the shelter. We ended up taking him and got him checked out right away. Our vet estimated that Bam Bam is about 14 to 15 years old. He does not hear well and is almost fully blind. Unfortunately, we also found out he has an enlarged heart and a collapsing trachea. He started on heart medications and is doing well on them. Our vet thinks he could make it another year or two with proper care. Since he can't see/hear well, he is stressed in new homes and it takes him some time to learn a new environment. We want him to find one final, stable home he can adjust to and live out the rest of his days. We would love for someone to spoil him for the remaining time he has left! Bam Bam is a small boy at only 5lbs. He loves sunbathing and exploring, but sometimes needs help finding his way back to the house. He cannot be left outside alone. Bam Bam lives for food and takes his meds easily with his meals. He is a sweet boy, never shown any aggression or tried to bite anyone. He gets along with other dogs and cats and actually likes having another dog he can follow around as his 'guide.' But, we don't think large or hyper dogs would be good for him since he is so small. If you can open your heart and home to help Bam Bam, please submit an application on our website at www.dominoeffectanimalrescue.orgOctober 22, 2024, 5:04 pm

Our adoption fee is $500. Only in California, the fee for puppies under a year old is $600. Please consider this not as a price you pay for the doggie, but as a (partially tax-deductible) donation to our charity, so we can continue our work of saving 1000+ doggies per year.
