Story
SO DARLING!! Maverick is a possible Yorkie mix, the Good Samaritan who found him tried her best to locate the owner for week but no one stepped up. She had to cut out fur mats on his face and head so it takes away from the look. He has a long body, soft hair and cute small feet. He is going to be so handsome once he is loved and cared for, like he should be. He is in foster care now. Maverick is good with other dogs but can be nervous around strangers. We are developing his confidence with foster care. It would probably be better to have children over 8 years old. We have been told that he is not house trained so he may need a belly band. But we are working on this. Also, he will be neutered soon. Maverick’s adoption fee of $450.00 includes his vet exam, current vaccinations, fecal test, heart worm/tick test, preventatives, neuter and microchip. Austin, TX area adoptions preferred. Children over 8 years old.

Story
Meet sweet Lulu, a 9 year old, 7 pound little Yorkie girl being fostered in Leander, TX. Only Texas applicants will be considered. Pup-date 5/18/25: Little miss Lulu has settled right in at her foster home. She loves her own comfy area and bed. She lays watching all the happenings around the house and especially what her two resident foster siblings are up to. She loves being in the company of her foster parents and can be vocal when she wants their attention. She loves going outside to run the yard and also do her business. She has settled into a routine with consistent wake and bed times. She will let you know when she needs to go outside to potty and/or just explore. She loves to run the fence line and soak up some fresh air. Lulu still loves her meal times and is warming up to more and more human affection every day. Lulu really enjoys following her foster sister around outside and will be best with at least one or more pups in the house. She is sweet, loving, and super cute. Lulu has not met a stranger and really loves all people and animals she has come across. She does well on a leash, and really enjoys just being outside. Lulu needs a home where she will receive nothing but love and patience as she continues to blossom into a normal dog. Lulu's ideal home will be one with other small pups in the house and someone who is home with her most of the day. If you are looking for that one of a kind addition to you home, please contact her foster parents at uyryorkielovetx@yahoo.com or fill out an application using the link below this bio. Meet Lulu, a precious 7.3lb, 9 year old little girl looking for her perfect forever home. Lulu came to UYR about a week ago surrendered from a life of breeding. Although she was a little producer, it is evident she was cared for and loved. She came with some teeth decay and a UTI, but all her blood work appears to be good and she is scheduled for a spay and dental next week. She will likely lose the remaining teeth she has, which is not many. She already has the oh so cute tongue hanging out of her mouth look that just melts your heart for the first look. While we are still learning all there is to know about Lulu, we have noticed that she does lie human attention, likes to snuggle next to you on the couch, is somewhat puppy pad and outside potty trained. She had some accidents in the first few days, but we believe that was due to her UTI. The past few days have been nothing but great potties on a pad or outside. She will bark and run around quickly when she needs to out side. She loves to run in the yard and sleeps well through the night. From what we can see so far, she will need to be in an adult home with someone around most of the time. She has plenty of love to give and is excited to start her journey in her new forever home. If you are interested in adopting her, please fill out an application using the link under her bio on the UYR website.

Story
Meet Maverick, an adorable 7 year old (est), 10 pound Yorkie boy being fostered in Georgetown, TX. Only Texas applicants will be considered. Pupdate: I'm so looking forward to my new furever home and my new family! I know you're out there looking for me! I'm the easiest little guy ever! I love to go for walks on a leash, chase squirrels in the backyard, and follow you all over the house. I get along with everyone! Big people, little people, big dogs, little dogs and even cats! Please fill out the adoption application and come get me! I'm so excited to meet you and begin my furever happy ending! XXXXOOOO -- Maverick Hello World! I am Maverick and I am soooooo happy to be part of the UYR fosters looking for my furever family! I was very scared in the shelter and didn't know if I would make it out -- I was on the list to be euthanized!!!! Foster Mom and UYR said oh no, we need to take that boy and find him a new family -- so here I am ready to find you and give you all the love and friendship you'll ever need. I've already been to the dogter, had all my shots, and had my teeth cleaned. The dogter did give Foster Mom some bad news, I have a heart murmur. Not bad enough to need medicine yet, but definitely my new family needs to know so they can let my new dogter watch it carefully and get me on medicine when it's time. I guess a heart murmur means that I'm special and have lots of room for extra love. I love to go for walks every day. I'm not the kind of guy that wants to be in your lap all the time, but I do want to be in the same room with you in my own chair next to yours. I promise to always stay by your side and only bark when there's a reason, like someone at the door or a squirrel I need to go get. Please fill out my application and come get me, I'm waiting for you. Also, while you're here, can you please donate to UYR to keep all of us off the euthanize list? It's not the kind of list we want to be on..... XXXXOOOO Maverick

Story
Meet Rocco, a handsome 4 year old, 10 pound Yorkie Mix boy being fostered in Georgetown, TX. Rocco is Heartworm positive and will begin his 4 month treatment soon. Only Texas applicants will be considered. My name is Rocco and just wanted to let you know I am full of energy and love life.. I came to UYR as a stray and they said I was a hot mess…I am a beautiful Yorkie with a short hair cut but I have gorgeous colors and can’t wait to see myself with lots of long hair. Some say I am 4 years old but foster mom and dad think maybe 2-3..because I am curious about everything and am learning about being in a wonderful home life. I had a sheltered life before being lucky to be in foster care..food smells, spending time in a yard, not used to dog beds but love love napping in a cozy lap and I have to snuggle next to my mom and dad at night…. I am healthy except for Heartworm disease but my treatment seems to be working great… Foster siblings aren’t too keen on playing but I am trying to show them what they are missing..if I could have a playmate in my furever home that would be the ultimate.. I am a taller Yorkie so maybe a taller friend would be perfect… Oh by the way, I do need some work on my manners because I find that food is something I have missed.. I am very smart and would learn quickly with some time and loving attention. I just found out about walks and already know when the leash comes out that the fun begins. If you think I would fit with your family and lifestyle or need more information you can email foster mom at uyrtxbets@gmail.com or complete an application below
