Story
I'm an Abyssinian-tabby mix. I was dumped at a high kill shelter with my kittens. I was a great mama! All of my kittens got adopted and I was left alone. Now it's my turn for the perfect home. I'm a bit shy at first, but very sweet! I'm calm and quiet. I love to be pet and scratched under the chin. I'm perfect for a quiet home with lots of love to give. I'm spayed, FIV-FELV tested, microchipped and vaccinated for FVRCP and Rabies. Visit me in the Adoption Center at Brea PetSmart, whenever a volunteer is present.

Story
Abby (born June 2024) is a sweet, intelligent gal who thoughtfully reads the room before jumping into play. With time, her shyness melts and she becomes a dynamic ball of chirping playfulness. Abby is intrigued to watch and learn from her human or kitty pal. Abby will keep you company as you work or study. She particularly loves bedtime – jumping up on your bed to do her purr dance and settle into the comfy crook of your arm. Abby has a beautiful ticked tabby coat and big beautiful gold green eyes. (We think she is an Abyssinian mix.) She loves vertical space and cat trees or wall mounts are recommended. She is a soccer star and rolls ping pong balls throughout the room with style. Abby has good manners for a young cat. In a loving home, Abby’s confidence will shine, and she will delight with her energy and sweet presence. She has a lot of love to give. Reach out to her foster for more info.

🐾 Meet Mr. Clarence! 🐾 Are you ready to engage in some riveting conversations over a plate of treats? If so, Mr. Clarence, the dapper Abyssinian mix, born in 2021, is eagerly waiting to charm his way into your heart. Mr. Clarence is not just your average feline companion; he's an opinionated gentleman with a penchant for intellectual exchanges. Sporting a distinguished Abyssinian coat adorned with tabby markings and clean white socks, he exudes an air of sophistication wherever he goes. Don't be alarmed by his initial hisses; they're just his way of saying hello! But fear not, for a tasty treat is all it takes to turn those hisses into purrs of contentment. And once you offer him a head massage, he'll be putty in your hands, vying for your attention and affection. This big boy has a lot to say, and he's seeking a companion who's ready to engage in meaningful conversations and appreciate his unique personality. With Mr. Clarence by your side, you'll never have a dull moment. Although he may be shy at first, especially in new surroundings, Mr. Clarence blossoms into his true charming self when he feels comfortable, and he did well with another cat friend--haha, just watch that he doesn't try to eat the other cat's food! Could you be the one to turn his hisses into kisses and provide him with the love and understanding he deserves? Come meet Mr. Clarence today and discover the joys of sharing your life with this lovable, distinguished sir. Together, you'll embark on a journey filled with endless chats, head massages, and, most importantly, a bond that will last a lifetime. Born 2021. Story
Abby is very sweet and loving girl, who will give and receive attention and sleep on top of you, once she gets to know you. She does well in a home with other cats but can sometimes get over-stimulated, however once properly acclimated that will calm down. She would do well as the only cat in the home with someone who does not work away full-time as she needs a lot of attention. She has a big personality and makes what she does and doesn't want known. She would do well with a cat-savvy person. The longer Abby is in your home, the more comfortable she will be and will become your sweet companion! Abby was abandoned outside a known cat rescuer's door, and while we don't know her history, it is clear they cared about her and wanted to be sure she was safe.

Story
Pinto is a 3-month snowshoe siamese girl who was found wandering the streets of South LA by herself until she was brought in by a caring lady. She soon found herself with a new sister from another mister (Adzuki) at her foster's house. Pinto loves to cuddle with you when she isn't wrestling with her sister or making biscuits on the couch. She is the first to explore every nook and cranny; and is a huge fan of Churu treats. Pinto is a talker and will let you know that she wants to be picked up and played with. Pinto is being adopted through the San Gabriel Valley Animal Advocates. If you are interested in adopting Pinto, please submit an adoption application at http://www.sgvaa.org and we will get back to you as soon as we can. Your adoption donation allows us to rescue the next kitty from the streets and pay for all their health and medical needs. Most of our adoptable pets live in loving foster homes. We can arrange meet-and-greets with our foster families, at our live-in habitats in the West Covina and El Monte Petcos, as well as at the Huntington Beach (Edinger) PetSmart. SGVAA is an all-volunteer, non-profit rescue organization serving the San Gabriel Valley area. For more information on how you can help your community, please visit: www.sgvaa.org Their Adoption Process If you are interested in any of our adoptable pets or have additional questions, please fill out an adoption application and we will get back to you as soon as we can. Since we are an all-volunteer organization, it may take us within 24-48 hours to respond. Our little fur babies are so adorable that sometimes we get multiple applications for one pet! So if the pet you are interested in is no longer available there is no need to worry! We have plenty of friends who are furry! As part of the adoption process, we screen each new potential owner, and do home visits to ensure that an animal and owner are a good match. Once your adoption application has been approved, we will have you fill out a Pet Promise Certificate (adoption contract) *SGVAA’s adoption donation allows us to rescue the next kitty from the streets and pay for all of their health and welfare needs (spay, neuter, shots, deworming, flea meds, microchip) *We also provide free home delivery of your new kitty/kitties! About This Rescue SGVAA is dedicated to the protection and humane treatment of pets in the San Gabriel Valley area. We encourage people to rescue a homeless animal instead of buying one. Our organization also educates the community on the importance of early vaccinations for fatal and easily preventable diseases. We also advocate spaying or neutering to reduce pet overpopulation. Once an animal is in our care we vaccinate all rescues against disease & provide needed health care, fight pet overpopulation by spaying or neutering all rescues, and provide lifetime shelter and care to any rescued animal that is not adopted.
