Story
🐾 Meet Mr. Clarence! 🐾 Mr. Clarence is a dapper Abyssinian mix with tabby markings, crisp white socks, and awesome tail. This handsome boy enjoys lots of petting, and treats—especially treats. He may greet you with a silent hiss at first, but it’s all for show and really quite cute. Just sit with him, give him some sweet talk and a bowl of food with some treats, and he'll soon come around. With a little patience and some tasty incentives, he’ll warm up and demand your attention with an irresistible stare from his gorgeous green eyes. Mr. Clarence is best as the only pet—he can become stressed around other cats, which can lead to unwanted accidents. He’s looking for a calm, patient home with someone who is home a lot, and where he can be the center of attention and thrive as the one-and-only companion. Born 2021. There are 2 videos of him on our website! To see them, and to apply to meet him, please go directly to his page, at https://www.lifelineforpets.org/mr-clarence.html. We will reply within a day.

Story
Abby is very sweet and loving girl, who will give and receive attention and sleep on top of you, once she gets to know you. She does well in a home with other cats but can sometimes get over-stimulated, however once properly acclimated that will calm down. She would do well as the only cat in the home with someone who does not work away full-time as she needs a lot of attention. She has a big personality and makes what she does and doesn't want known. She would do well with a cat-savvy person. The longer Abby is in your home, the more comfortable she will be and will become your sweet companion! Abby was abandoned outside a known cat rescuer's door, and while we don't know her history, it is clear they cared about her and wanted to be sure she was safe.

Story
Charlie is a cutie pie! He starts out shy but he loves to play with his foster cat friends, his brother Buster, and you once he gets to know you -- he even climbs up to snuggle next to his foster mom in bed. He and his brother both started out shy but warmed up to their foster mom after a few good meals. He's looking for a home with either his brother or another friendly kitty friend as he gets too sad when he's all alone. Aprox birthday 6/30/25. Charlie is healthy and has received top notch care at our rescue, like all our kitties. He tested negative for FeLV/FIV, has been dewormed, vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. All that is included in his $125 adoption fee. To meet Charlie apply here or at www.TheRescueTrain.org. Please don't be shy and answer all the questions thoroughly! Charlie and Buster are in a foster home in Van Nuys. Your application is used to set up a safe meeting and successful adoption. Los Angeles adopters only please.

Story
Bottle Fed & Ready For Foster Family To Enjoy The Easy Work! This beautiful litter of 3 Siamese and a sweet Calico are ready to move from the woman that bottle-fed them and they will be ready for adoption soon.  If you know how much work bottle-feeding is you will know how much the caregiver needs a break and some lucky person can do the “light-lifting and enjoy these kittens while they ready for adoption. You must be in Orange County to foster cats for us!! Just so you know, our kittens are adopted in pairs because every young being needs a friend and an “equal energy playmate” is one that is well match in play energy. If you have an old cat and want to adopt a kitten always adopt a pair so your old cat can enjoy being a senior and snoozing and but enjoying watching and not being jumped on and chased all day or night. Just think of human grandparents enjoying the time with the children for a time and how they take them back to their parents and then get some rest.   Adopting a bonded pair of kittens that are well-matched by play energy helps avoid “unhappy” cats that just tolerate each other or terrorize each other. My specialty is, “Make Cats Happy!” It all starts with making the right choice to adopt based on your home, your lifestyle, the family members and other pets in your home. These kittens are available for adoption, but we are seeking a foster to take them into their home until they are fully vetted and altered prior to going to their new homes. The foster will have first right to choose a pair! Community Animal Network will be accepting pre-adoption applications and we abide by COVID-19 safety precautions when showing our animals because they live in private homes. The adoption includes, spay/neuter, viral blood testing for FIV/FELv, vaccinations, two dewormings, nails trimmed and our animals have no fleas. A 1 ½ hour feline pet-parenting consultation is included and there is a lot of veterinary medical information because a pet-parents largest expense is for sickness and hospitalizations. Much of the focus of the pet-parenting consultation is on symptoms of common diseases and foods to avoid that cause them. We implant AVID microchips and the registration in the national 24-hour pet recovery data base is included, a 30-day health commitment and a 30-day return policy apply. The adoption papers disclose previous treatments and any disclosures. Our vet is Dr. Elaine Wexler-Mitchell, an author and a board-certified feline specialist that owns, The Cat Care Clinic in the city of Orange. She is not taking any new patients, but does see those animals adopted from us! Community Animal Network is a veterinary medical rescue founded in 1996 for abandoned and “at risk” shelter dogs and cats. In 2015 the board unanimously supported the birth of the veterinary internship program designed for aspiring veterinarian’s as young as 15. When you adopt or donate to Community Animal Network you are helping a young person step into their future! The interns learn from studying vet records, following vet orders and receive hands-on animal handling experience; give medications, injections, draw blood and observe procedures and treatments. Thank you for considering helping a local animal by fostering or if you can make a donation to help it would be so greatly appreciated!    DiAnna Pfaff-Martin Founder & Director P.O. Story
Needs A Quiet Home Without Kids or DogsCourage is a beautiful white apple-head Siamese with big blue eyes that would be happy living in a quiet home without dogs or kids. While he lives with other cats now, other cats take the spots nearest his caregiver that he wishes he had. Courage deserves to have all the attention and his dream would be king of his home, without so much competition for affection. Would that be the kind of home you could provide? His favorite comfy spaces are baskets to curl up inside. His previous home was his rescue foster family that saved him when he was a kitten from a Target parking lot when he was being chased by a “murder of crows”, which is the correct term for a flock of crows. He did not do well in his rescue home that was active with kids another cat and a Great Dane. For more info, text DiAnna at 949-759-3646 or email at DiAnna@networkfounder.org. Courage is being cared for by Community Animal Network, a non-profit organization founded by DiAnna Pfaff-Martin in 1996. C.A.N is a veterinary medical rescue that helps dogs and cats that need to find new homes. C.A.N. foster homes are nurture houses and animals need time to decompress after some of the unfortunate experiences of their past. Fostering is a wonderful way to help and also consider adopting by getting to know different animal’s that fit with your family’s lifestyle. To help by donating, use our PayPal link: www.PayPal.Me/CommunityAnimal Or Mail checks to: Community Animal Network P.O. Box 8662 Newport Beach, CA 92658 The founder of Community Animal Network, DiAnna Pfaff-Martin, is a feline expert with over 25 years of active rescue experience and is very particular about the nurturing of the animals to discover their needs to be happy in their future home. “The Community Animal Report”, DiAnna wrote and self-published in the 1990’s standing in public places handing her paper out and helping private parties rehome their pets through her classified section called, “Pre-Loved Pets”. In 1998 she was offered to write a weekly column called the, “Pet Of the Week” for the Los Angeles Times Daily Pilot Community Newspaper. DiAnna wrote the “Pet of the Week” for 18 years until 2016. With DiAnna’s experience, feral kittens are tamed to "pet quality" and rescue cats that are shy are disclosed and termed, "rescue quality" with a lower placement fee and these special kitties often blossom in just the right home.   All future pet-parents receive valuable information about cat care in a two hour "feline pet-parenting consultation" that focuses a lot on the health and safety of the cat. The most current information is made available about how to keep your cat healthy, pet foods, litters and DiAnna’s specialty is “Make Cats Happy! Community Animal Network animals have all customary rescue veterinary medical and are microchipped with the AVID microchip and registered in the national pet-recovery database included in the placement fee and the animals come with a 30 day heath commitment and return policy.    October 29, 2024, 7:02 am
