Jake is a 2 year old male Anatolian shepherd mix, and is the sweet “gentle giant” that you’ve been looking for! This big sweetheart absolutely loves people sooooo much, and he is so deserving of being with his own family rather than in a shelter. Jake is the type of dog who gives you adoring looks as soon as he meets you, making you feel like the most important person in the world. He is easy on a leash, and has a magical way of making you feel like everything is a little brighter just by being together. Jake is a true love bug, always happy to roll over for a belly rub or snuggle with his human friends. He also seemed indifferent when he met a feral cat - good boy! It’s clear that Jake is meant to be in a loving home, forming strong bonds with his family. He is simply looking for his people … is that you? Jake can’t wait to meet you and find out! The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip.Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA. Phone: 770-214-3590. The hours of operation are: Monday through Wednesday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Thursday 12:30 pm till 6:00 pm; Friday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Saturday 9:00 am till 4:00 pm. The Carroll County Animal Shelter will be closed the last Friday of every month for deep cleaning, staff training, and animal enrichment.April 9, 2026, 6:29 pm
