Atticus was a stray that ended up at a Kansas shelter. For reasons unknown to us, no owner came for him. We rescued Atticus so we could find his furever home! 2.5 year old Atticus needs a very specific home: ✅A quiet home without a lot of people and visitors coming and going. He takes his guardianship seriously and will bark to alert you of any activity— people and vehicles he sees & hears on your street ✅He takes time to warm up to new people. He tends to warm up quicker to new women over men ✅Adopter should have guardian breed experience Handsome Atticus will be your best, loyal friend. He loves his people with his whole heart and would do anything for them. An affectionate boy that likes being near his people, Atticus will soak up all your snuggles and pets. He is smart, knows some basic commands, and is treat motivated. Atticus is also a counter surfer so keep your counters clean! A playful pup, Atticus requires a daily walk and delights in being outside and patrolling the backyard. He also takes time out for a good nap. Atticus likes the companionship of other dogs and would appreciate having a female dog in his furever home that matches his playful energy. He does fine with dog friendly cats. Atticus is crate trained and rides great in the car. He needs a strong handler as he walks pretty well on a leash until he sees something he wants to go see and then he pulls. Being fostered in Holden, MO Atticus weighs avout 90 lbs, is neutered, up to date on core vaccines, and up to date on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. Adoption Requirements *A minimum 5 ft fence *A home visit *Children in the home should be 12+ *A vet check with at least a two year vet history Adopters can be located in Missouri and surrounding states: Kansas, Arkansas, Nebraska, Iowa, and Illinois. We are able to help transport to those states.

Howie is the last of his siblings still available for adoption. Howie is part of the West Plains, MO litter that we rescued in March. They were abandoned outside when their owner passed away. Howie is growing up in rescue. He is really ready for a family of his own! Howie is a very sweet, affectionate and attentive dog. He bonds easily to the people around him. Watch out for his big Pyr paw when he wants attention! Howie loves to play with both people, cats, and other dogs. He is affectionate with the cats and curious and respectful of the parakeet in his foster home. Howie can also play on his own and is crate trained or can be gated off in a room when you’re not home. Howie particularly likes ice cubes, chew toys, and soft toys. At 9 months old, Howie is already a big boy so it's hard to remember that he's still a puppy. He doesn't quite always know what his body is doing; coordination is still developing! A typical Pyrenees, Howie will alert you when he hears deliveries or comings and goings outside. Howie is 100% potty trained and walks pretty well on a leash. Howie weighs about 80 lbs. He is up to date on core vaccines, microchipped and up to date on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. Howie will be adopted on a spay/neuter contract with adopter promising to neuter at a later date and must provide vet records at that time. Howie is being fostered in Columbia, MO. Adoption Requirements *A secure & visible fence *A home visit *A vet check with at least a two year vet history Adopters can be located in Missouri, Kansas, Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, and Arkansas. We are able to help transport to those states.

Are you looking for a fun loving, adventuresome boy who would love to be your companion? Ranger was initially rescued by a Good Samaritan in 2024. He was found in the middle of a road just hours old with his umbilical cord still attached! A nursing mother was found for him & after he was old enough to eat gruel, Ranger came into rescue. Ranger was adopted as a puppy by his foster family but in December 2025, his family could no longer keep him so Ranger came back to us. Fun loving Ranger needs a forever home! 2 year old Ranger is a really sweet boy that loves to play. He does well meeting new people men and women alike. He enjoys going to doggie daycare and loves to play with other dogs there and in his foster home. Ranger loves balls and playing fetch, especially with another dog playing too. And rather than shredding toys, he cobbs them like an ear of corn. Oh Ranger, you silly boy! Ranger enjoys the out of doors and one of his favorite past times is barking at squirrels. Indoors, he will alert you when someone is at the door. Ranger likes his chill time too and will sleep in bed with you or in his crate. Always up for an adventure, Ranger does well with car rides; he sits on his rear like a gentleman. He knows how to sit, shake and lay down. He does pull on a leash some. And leave your counters clear or Ranger will swipe any yummies left behind! We have not done Ranger’s DNA, however we think he’s an Anatolian Shepherd mixed with Great Pyrenees and Labrador. A great eater & loves his treats, Ranger has the lean Anatolian physique and weighs 60-65 lbs. Ranger is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and heartworm negative. Ranger is being fostered in Little Rock, AR Adoption Requirements *A secure, visible fence *A home visit *A vet reference with at least a two year vet history Adopters can be located in Missouri, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, and Arkansas. We are able to help transport to those states.
