You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Sokka came to our rescue when he was taken to the shelter after being found left in an apartment alone for 10 days. In spite of that he was incredibly sweet, loved everyone he met and was happy to play with some doggy friends in his foster home. When his foster family had additional family with their own dogs moving into their home, it was time for Sokka to find a new foster home. His new foster mom quickly fell for him and there was talk of foster failing. Things changed for Sokka, who had been renamed Owen, when he protected his mom from a dog attack, he took his job seriously and kept her safe but by doing so it affected him, mentally, and he hasn't been the same boy since. Owen's foster mom now feels he'd do better in a different home so we are now looking for a very special place for him. The boy who used to love doggy friends now seems to be very scared and unsure. The boy who never met a person he didn't instantly love, is now very cautious and fearful. So we are looking for a quiet, low key home for Owen where he can learn to trust, feel safe again. Have a backyard to soak up the sun, or the snow. Also a very committed foster or adopter who will work consistently with our behaviorist to help Owen through the trauma he experienced. This is no small ask we know. But he deserves nothing less! They are an old married couple and they must be adopted together. We will be extremely selective about where these 2 go, with all that they've been through.  After their owner suddenly passed away they were faced with euthanasia. We had just a couple of days to find a place to get them safe, and thank goodness a wonderful foster stepped up! You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Kaiju came to us as an urgent boy needing to be pulled from a Utah shelter. He was so stressed there he'd stopped eating. He went to a foster home where they hoped he would be the right fit to add to their family and he spent several months getting healthy.  Kaiju has had entropion surgery and recovered from 2 UTI's, also been neutered. His foster family feel with Kaiju's need for very slow intro's to new people and the traffic of people in their home, they're not the right fit for him.  He is a very smart boy, very typical Akbash. Strong and protective of his family, and so goofy and loving too!  Kaiju does great with the female Akbash in the home but does need to be fed alone. He also chases cats! He is a chill 5 year old most of the time and would love to find his forever home. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.For weeks this handsome guy sat at the shelter. We shared but no one wanted to take him home. When we say fostering saves lives we really mean it. Potro was getting so close to never leaving the shelter. Kennel stressed and shutting down...and then his hero came! In foster we've learned Potro does well with female dogs and very confident kitties. He also loves all people.  Potro is very strong and needs a bit of work with the leash, he pulls. A harness and some sessions with our behaviorist can fix that! Potro was just neutered and that could easily help with how he feels about other males, time will tell! You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Surrendered to a rural shelter and moved to another, now with our rescue, welcome Denali!  This absolutely adorable guy was at risk of euthanasia for getting a bit too excited and not having the best manners. Thank heavens for fosters who literally saved his life!  Just a couple of weeks with them and a virtual session with our behaviorist and Denali is doing fantastic! He adores people and does great with other dogs.  His coat was shaved at a previous shelter due to matting and foxtails, once it grows back he'll be an incredibly fluffy handsome boy. This sweet boy is being fostered in West Jordan, Utah. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Delilah and her partner Darby came to us after going through quite a lot. Divorce and then neither family wanted them, so they ended up at the shelter. After being pulled, we realized they are not a bonded pair and would do best separated. However, Delilah would love another dog companion. She's currently living with other dogs, cats and young kids.  This is what her foster mom says about her..... Delilah is a sweet 4-year-old Great Pyrenees/Akbash. She comes in at 93 pounds. She does great with other dogs, and really needs a doggy companion in the home. She’s also good with cats but she does need a home without any small animals such as rabbits, chickens or ducks. She does great with kids of all ages and really would love to be in a home with them! She's fully house-trained Walks like a dream on a leash Loves being right by you while you're cooking or watching a movie. She does need a fully fenced-in yard ideally 6 feet or higher. She doesn't bark unless she sees something that shouldn't be in her yard. She loves everybody and greets them with a wagging tail. She does have some resource guarding when it comes to her food and treats. So it's recommended she's fed separately. She does tend to eat fast, but she loves eating from her kong and rolling it with her paw or nose. She does need a slow introduction to other animals until she figures out her spot in the pack.
