Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Sokka came to our rescue when he was taken to the shelter after being found left in an apartment alone for 10 days. In spite of that he was incredibly sweet, loved everyone he met and was happy to play with some doggy friends in his foster home. When his foster family had additional family with their own dogs moving into their home, it was time for Sokka to find a new foster home. His new foster mom quickly fell for him and there was talk of foster failing. Things changed for Sokka, who had been renamed Owen, when he protected his mom from a dog attack, he took his job seriously and kept her safe but by doing so it affected him, mentally, and he hasn't been the same boy since. Owen's foster mom now feels he'd do better in a different home so we are now looking for a very special place for him. The boy who used to love doggy friends now seems to be very scared and unsure. The boy who never met a person he didn't instantly love, is now very cautious and fearful. So we are looking for a quiet, low key home for Owen where he can learn to trust, feel safe again. Have a backyard to soak up the sun, or the snow. Also a very committed foster or adopter who will work consistently with our behaviorist to help Owen through the trauma he experienced. This is no small ask we know. But he deserves nothing less! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Zack is a big sweet goof of a boy and bonded to our girl Lucy. They are an old married couple and they must be adopted together. We will be extremely selective about where these 2 go, with all that they've been through.  After their owner suddenly passed away they were faced with euthanasia. We had just a couple of days to find a place to get them safe, and thank goodness a wonderful foster stepped up! Zack gets along with all dogs and cats and is just a happy go lucky boy wherever he goes.  He is being fostered with Lucy in MT.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 8, 2026, 12:51 pm

But after a few days in her foster home it was quickly discovered what was thought to be older age was more than likely fear. In her foster home she quickly became ill, was rushed to the ER vet where she spent several days. Noel has spent weeks now recovering and is ready to find her forever family.  Noel is wonderful with other dogs, she sleeps by them and even eats right by them!  She is working on her leash manners and only chewing on approved items! ;) Noel is good with cats and loves people! Story
Meet Andre – The Big, Goofy Lovebug You’ve Been Waiting For!Andre is a 105-pound 7 year old Great Pyrenees/Husky mix with a larger-than-life personality and an even bigger heart. At his core, he’s a goofy, cuddly, attention-loving boy who just wants to be near his people—whether that’s following you from room to room or flopping over for belly rubs (all four paws in the air, of course!).Andre has excellent house manners and is both house-trained and crate-trained—just say “kennel” and he happily heads to his favorite cozy spot. He knows commands like sit, down, and place, and is very treat-motivated, making him a great candidate for continued training. While he’s generally low-energy around the house, Andre does have bursts of excitement—especially on walks or when something catches his attention. He’s currently working on leash manners, as he can pull when excited, but he’s making progress. He enjoys daily walks, playing tug with his rope toy, and batting around his favorite “fishing pole” toy.Andre is good with cats and does well with children. With people, he may take a moment to warm up, but a treat quickly wins him over. He can get vocal when he sees or hears something outside, and may bark when visitors arrive, but he responds well to guidance and settling cues. He’s not the best fit for dog parks or high-energy dog interactions, as he can get overwhelmed and unsure how to channel his excitement. However, with the right match and introductions, he may be able to live with another calm pet. What makes Andre truly special is his lovable, slightly goofy charm. He’s been known to stop people in their tracks just to admire how handsome he is—and once you meet him, you’ll understand why. He gives the best “side eye,” loves a good sniff of anything new in the house, and will happily soak up all the affection you’re willing to give.Andre would do best in a home that can provide structure, patience, and continued guidance—especially around managing his excitement. A yard and a family who can help him feel secure and understood would be ideal. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, and entertaining companion who will keep you smiling every day, Andre is ready to be your new best friend. All CAWS pets are fixed, vaccinated, and microchipped. Andre’s adoption fee is $200. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-served basis—we focus on finding the perfect match for each animal.Ready for big love from an even bigger heart?Apply to adopt Andre here: http://caws.org/adoption-application If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at https://caws.org/adoption-applicationApril 10, 2026, 7:06 am

Story
My name is Winston and I am 1 year old Great Pyrenees. I was born a dog, I live like a dog but for my mom I am just a baby! I have two brothers, Bernese Mountain Dog and crazy Golden retriever and even tho I love them so much-I get jealous and overprotective over mom. So mommy thinks I would be the best dog ever if I am the only animal in the family. I can feel mommy is really heartbroken, but she said this would be the best for me and my brothers too. If someone can give me at least half of the love mommy does, half of belly rubs, the same amount of treats as mommy does…I would still be the happiest dog ever! Because mommy gives too much of everything to all of us. Sometimes I thinks she forgets that daddy exists. It would be wonderful if my new family have yard! Or if they take me on regular walks, it doesn’t have to be 3 times per day like mommy did. I love kids because they give the best belly rubs everrrrrr! I promise I am really smart dog, I just need you to be patient with me.
