Check out our Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok for more pictures & videos of our adoptable dogs!Updated: 1/11/2026 Dog Name: Trixie Sex: Female Estimated Breed: Golden Retriever/ Pyrenees Mix Approximate Age: 7 months Approximate Weight: 37 lbs Litter Name: Lizzie McGuire Spay/Neuter Status: Spayed Description: Trixie is a happy, curious, and adventurous puppy who is full of life and love! She was surrendered at no fault of her own but unfortunately due to her owner’s health issues she’s now looking for a new home that can give her the energy she needs. Trixie has playful puppy energy. She’s energetic, outgoing, goofy, and a total cuddler. She loves being involved, whether that’s going for walks, taking trips to stores, running around the yard, or just hanging out with her people. While she enjoys being close to her humans, she can also entertain herself when needed. She does wonderfully with other dogs and wants to play with every dog she meets! Doggy daycare is one of her favorite places and the staff absolutely adores her. Trixie has also done great with a 6-year-old child, happily running and playing alongside him. She has not shown any aggression and truly loves everyone she meets! Trixie is fully housebroken, crate trained, and doing very well with her puppy training. She knows sit, down, and walk, and she walks nicely on a leash especially when using a harness. She loves toys and her favorite treats are apple slices or training treats. Overall, Trixie is a super happy, affectionate girl who just loves life! She would thrive in an active home where she can continue learning, playing, and being included in daily life. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a big heart Trixie might just be your perfect match! Adoption Fee: $550We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433 ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time, we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs once they're at least 6 months old. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months, they will need to be spayed/neutered by your veterinarian when they are between 6 to 8 months old. Proof that the spay/neuter has been completed will need to be submitted to Tailwaggers911. Once proof of the spay/neuter has been received, we will refund $100 of your adoption fee via Venmo, PayPal or have a check in the mail within 15 days. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as ADOPTION IN PROCESS, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. January 11, 2026, 8:00 pm
