Story
Hitchcock was one ofn9 puppies, and he is the last. He was that puppy that knew if he was cute, the stranger that visited would end up taking him away. So he became a mama's boy. This isbthe dog that will miss you when you close the door to the bathroom. He cuddles. And licks. Just a little scared of things...like going on couches or entering new territory. But adapts we'll. Reason for rehoming: Dad. Dad is beginning to suspect there is another male in the house and is acting out via marking Dad started this once hitchcocks trsticles descended. It is only a matter of time before they fight (as per all the akita books says.

Story
Hello! My name is Oso, which means “bear” in Spanish—but don’t let the name fool you! I’m a gentle giant with a heart full of love. I was saved just three hours before my time was up at the county shelter, and even though I’m a senior, I have so much life and love left to give! I’m all about people—I love them, like really, really love them. After spending my whole life outdoors, I’m absolutely thrilled by the comfort of indoor air conditioning and a doggy door that lets me wander into the yard whenever I want. Life is good! One of my favorite things is carrying around my stuffed toys, especially the small ones—they make me so happy! I also love chasing a ball and am the best boy when it’s time for a bath. Treats are my weakness, especially chicken tacos (yum!). I’m looking for a home where I can be the only dog because I just want to soak up all the love for myself. I’m easygoing, never bark, and my tail wiggles with joy when I meet new friends. I’m dreaming of a forever home where I can give lots of kisses, enjoy scratchies, and just be your loyal companion for the rest of my days. If you can offer me a place to call home, please reach out to my foster mom, Jenn, at 602-710-4143. I can’t wait to meet you! ❤️ I’m a courtesy post for Valley Dogs Rescue.

Story
Hello Sedona,My name is Max. I am a gentle 10-year-old Akita male with a heart full of love. Despite my age, I continue to enjoy leisurely walks and cozy naps. I do experience some separation anxiety, therefore I would thrive in a home where someone is around most of the day. I would be more at ease in a calm and quiet household. I do well with other calm dogs I`m not interested in any rough and tumble play. I am looking for a forever home with someone who understands the special care of a senior dog and if you’re ready to open your heart as well as your home to a devoted friend... I am waiting patiently to meet you!I am neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on vaccines. If I sound like a good fit for you and your family...I would love to spend the rest of my life with you! If I sound like a good fit for you, please contact the loving folks at the Humane Society of Sedona at: 928.282.4679 any day of the week 10am-4pm; excluding major holidays and come say `hi!`
