Story
Ruger is a big goof ball. Unfortunately he has gotten so big that he knocks me over. He goes after my other dog when there are toys involved. Not sure whether it is Ruger or my other dog who is going to the bathroom in the house at night. I find it when I wake up. I crate them all day, so I don't find it fair to also crate them at night. That is no life for a dog. I have an extra large crate that will go with him and vet records. He is 11 months old and already about 80 pounds.

Story
Gene is a purebred American Akita we purchased about a year ago. She’s just over one year old and due to new work schedules we don’t have the time to tend to her needs. She hasn’t been around other dogs very often, but she has never bit any people. She doesn’t bark much and is potty trained. We are hoping to find a new great home for her.

Story
Carob is a shy and gentle girl who is dreaming of her furever home! Carob has known her share of heartbreak, as she came into the shelter after her owner passed away. A buddy she came in with has since been adopted, and she is hoping that she`ll be able to get outta this joint ASAP! Shelter staff and volunteers are so proud of her; the shelter is a pretty scary place and Carob is trying her very best to be brave!“Carob was shy when I met her in her kennel, but easy to leash up and she walked great, right by my side. We went a yard and she walked around, exploring, allowing brief touch as she walked by me. We had an easy to return to kennel where she leaned into me.”“I walked Carob Friday evening. Carob walked gently on leash and she loved sniffing and exploring. We sat on a beach by the lake and Carob allowed pets on her shoulder and back. She was more relaxed after her walk and cuddle time.”“I met Carob for the first time a couple of weeks ago. We made our way to a play yard, where she went potty and explored. Her kennelmate was pretty scared and she was such a sweet comforter to them. After about 15 minutes together she allowed me to pet her chin and scratch between her ears. This was her FAVORITE as she leaned into me as I scratched her head between her two big ‘ol ears!” We are so proud of Carob, as she has shown that despite hardship, she is resilient and ready to love! She’ll thrive in a home with a family who will give her time to warm up and feel safe. Once she knows that she’s “home,” she’ll show the sweetness and love that we have seen glimpses of in the shelter. If you believe in second chances, Carob is the girl for you!Carob shares her kennel with another PACC pup and has been social and easygoing when meeting other dogs in playgroup. Ask to meet Carob today!!

Story
Hello! My name is Oso, which means “bear” in Spanish—but don’t let the name fool you! I’m a gentle giant with a heart full of love. I was saved just three hours before my time was up at the county shelter, and even though I’m a senior, I have so much life and love left to give! I’m all about people—I love them, like really, really love them. After spending my whole life outdoors, I’m absolutely thrilled by the comfort of indoor air conditioning and a doggy door that lets me wander into the yard whenever I want. Life is good! One of my favorite things is carrying around my stuffed toys, especially the small ones—they make me so happy! I also love chasing a ball and am the best boy when it’s time for a bath. Treats are my weakness, especially chicken tacos (yum!). I’m looking for a home where I can be the only dog because I just want to soak up all the love for myself. I’m easygoing, never bark, and my tail wiggles with joy when I meet new friends. I’m dreaming of a forever home where I can give lots of kisses, enjoy scratchies, and just be your loyal companion for the rest of my days. If you can offer me a place to call home, please reach out to my foster mom, Jenn, at 602-710-4143. I can’t wait to meet you! ❤️ I’m a courtesy post for Valley Dogs Rescue.
