Story
Cash, isn’t he gorgeous?! And he is oh so sweet, his foster says. She is constantly covered in puppy kisses and greeted with his beautiful smile. Cash is an 11 month old Akita who found himself in rescue when his senior owners were no longer able to care for him. He's doing wonderful in foster care, playing with other dogs, rolling in leaves and going on adventures. He doesn't like to share a food dish with his dog friends (don't blame him tbh) so he eats alone, but that's very easy to accommodate. Cash is a smart, outgoing, loyal athletic young dog, he will need continued training as he continues into adulthood. He is great with other dogs medium sized and larger, no small dogs for Cash as he does have a prey drive indicative of his breed. Cash has been great with older children (8 and up). He is friendly with new people and shown a fondness for leaning in and back scratches. Cash is housebroken and leash trained. He will make a great addition to your home. Cash is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. All dogs 6 month + receive a Proheart 6 injection at the time of their heartworm test. This provides heartworm prevention for 6 months from the time of that injection. This dog has tested negative for heartworms. The adoption fee is $450 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs that are adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a confirmation. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.

Story
Saki came to HHR by way of our rescue friends in GA. Saki was scheduled for euthanasia for being a special needs dog. She is at least partially hearing impaired and has a condition called cerebellar hypoplasia (CH). CH is a permanent condition caused by exposure to distemper while in utero. The exposure causes underdevelopment of the cerebellum in the brain- the part responsible for fine motor skills. CH does not affect Saki’s health, but it is the reason her head bobbles and she walks a little differently than other dogs. We think it only adds to her personality. She is a silly, playful, energetic girl that loves to run and play. She gets along with other dogs in her foster home but can also be a bit rude in the beginning because her condition leaves her less able to read cues from other dogs. Saki would be best suited for a home with adults or older kids (teens and up). Saki is about two and a half years old and weighs 58 lbs. She is spayed; vaccinated for rabies, distemper, and bordetella; microchipped; and recently treated for heartworm by our veterinarian. Saki is current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. Story
*Name: Gili *Age: 7.5 years old *Current Weight: 50 lbs  *Adoption fee: $400 Meet Gili, a 7.5-year-old rescue from Bali with a gentle spirit and an independent, loving nature. She’s looking for a calm, understanding home where she can feel safe and truly at ease. Gili is low-maintenance and enjoys spending her days roaming the yard, soaking up the sun, and relaxing around the house. She’s fully house-trained, doesn’t use a crate, loves neighborhood walks, and occasionally gets happy zoomies in the backyard. While Gili often chooses her own sleeping spot, she loves coming in for morning cuddles—especially gentle ear and chest rubs while she sweetly licks your hand. Gili is a devoted companion who likes to stay close and will follow her people from room to room for comfort. During summer storms, she can be anxious and seeks extra closeness, sometimes cuddling under blankets. Gili can be cautious with strangers and sudden movements so she would do best in a home without young children. She prefers to be the only pet and thrives in a peaceful, predictable environment. With adults who love her for who she is, Gili is affectionate, loyal, and deeply devoted in her own quiet way. She has so much love to give and will be a wonderful companion!  To apply to adopt, fill out an application at https://snarrnortheast.org/adopt/ PLEASE CLICK HERE FOR FAQs  ##2634318##

Story
Meet Panda! Panda is 8 years old and his favorite pet friend is a miniature schnauzer who tends to bully him! Panda loves playing fetch, loves walks on known paths. Panda is very sensitive to loud noises especially to thunder/fireworks. Panda is house trained. Panda has been with family with 2 kids now ages 11 and 13. We had him since he was a puppy. We have relocated and have been trying to accustom Panda to new smaller house, smaller yard and much noisier than he was used to location. Panda had a lot of anxiety with the noise and as a result my landlord has given me a deadline to relocate him. He is ideal for an older experienced handler in a secluded area with a big yard. To help with transition we are open to letting miniature schnauzer go with him she is 9 years old and extremely smart dog, she walks without a leash, follows commands, house trained, understands routine and help keeps Panda in line when needed. He is accustomed to being more outside, except in the summer.

Story
Sweet girl dumped by her owners after 9 years. Left at a pound in LA Kiss went on the euth list and we scooped her up. She loves walks, is cute as all get out, and would make a low maintenance companion dog! She is heavy set at about 35 pounds but is quiet and lazy and very cute if you like an open face and low maintenance companion. She is housetrained, gets along with cats and dogs but would love to be an only dog and be fussed over. Debarked she is quiet tho can make a noise when needed (sad attempt at a bark). I thought she would be popular but here she sits. Her adoption fee is 195.00
