Story

Hilly is a sweet, soulful, and secret snuggle bug! This 5 year young Akita/Cane Corso mix has the gentlest eyes and a heart full of quiet devotion. While she can be a little shy when meeting new people, a touch of patience and kindness quickly reveals her true self: a polite, well mannered, and loyal companion who forms deeply loving bonds. Once she feels safe, Hilly absolutely melts into affection, gazing up at you with soft eyes while happily soaking up every bit of love. She is an absolute dream for low key days, enjoying calm leash walks, relaxed hang out time, and peaceful companionship. This smart girl already knows how to `sit` and `paw,` and she absolutely loves toys, especially tennis balls! Hilly would thrive best as the ultimate tender hearted best friend in a calm, understanding home with teens and up.If you are interested in learning more contact our placement team at the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter:E: Adoption@hempsteadny.govE: Foster@hempsteadny.govE: Rescue@hempsteadny.govT. 516.785.5220Wantagh Long Island, New York#Adoptme #adoptionistheoption #canecorsomix #akitamix #rescueakita

*Name: Gili *Age: 7.5 years old *Current Weight: 50 lbs *Adoption fee: $400 Meet Gili, a 7.5-year-old rescue from Bali with a gentle spirit and an independent, loving nature. She’s looking for a calm, understanding home where she can feel safe and truly at ease. Gili is low-maintenance and enjoys spending her days roaming the yard, soaking up the sun, and relaxing around the house. She’s fully house-trained, doesn’t use a crate, loves neighborhood walks, and occasionally gets happy zoomies in the backyard. While Gili often chooses her own sleeping spot, she loves coming in for morning cuddles—especially gentle ear and chest rubs while she sweetly licks your hand. Gili is a devoted companion who likes to stay close and will follow her people from room to room for comfort. During summer storms, she can be anxious and seeks extra closeness, sometimes cuddling under blankets. Gili can be cautious with strangers and sudden movements so she would do best in a home without young children. She prefers to be the only pet and thrives in a peaceful, predictable environment. With adults who love her for who she is, Gili is affectionate, loyal, and deeply devoted in her own quiet way. She has so much love to give and will be a wonderful companion! ✅ Currently in South Korea 💜 Available to fly to JFK & EWR Meet Geondam! 🐻 💙 Name: Geondam 💙 Gender: Male 💙 Age: Estimated 5 years old (Born in April 2020) 💙 Weight: 10 kg / 22.05 lb 💙 Adogs News Account: @_adogs_ 1️⃣ Health Condition * Neutered. 2️⃣ Rescue Story * Geondam was once on the first euthanasia list at the Gimje City Shelter. When rescuers first saw him, he was shivering in the corner of a cage, terrified of human touch. We couldn't give up on him, so he was rescued just in time to give him a second chance at life. 3️⃣ Basic Information * With People: Is very shy and takes a long time to open up to new people. Needs a patient family who can wait for him to feel safe. * With Dogs: Gets along very well with his friends at our center. * With Cats: Tends to chase them, so caution is required. * Separation Anxiety: Unknown because he currently lives in a group setting at our center. * Potty Training: Unknown, but he currently prefers outdoor potty breaks. * Walks: Showed great walking skills during his time at the training center. * Hygiene: Was very well-behaved during grooming and hygiene care at the training center. * Because he is fearful, he may try to nip if forced into something. A gentle approach is essential. * Absolutely loves treats! * Is still scared of human touch. Needs time to learn that hands are for love, not for fear.
