Story
Keyoko is the sweetest girl you will ever meet. She had been living a good life until her owner died and she - and her buddy Zeus - suddenly found themselves at the shelter with nowhere to go. One of our wonderful fosters has agreed to take both of them in until we can find their new forever homes. In addition, a kind supporter has sponsored part of her adoption fee to help her get settled soon. At 8yrs old, Keyoko is still playful and loves to cuddle with her people. She is looking for a safe and loving home. If you think that could be yours, click on the big black button marked "Ask About Me" and we will send you an application. This dog is being fostered in TN but included in your adoption fee is transport to a location near you by Rescue Riders Pet Transport, the most animal-friendly transport on the road.

Matrix is a four year old Akita. We have had her in our care before she was a year old. We are a family for 7 with a baby and we have alot to keep up with. want to make sure that the person who adopts her is serious and willing to give her the time attention and training she needs. I get her monthly bark box toys and treats and she loves that. She loves to play. Very loving and good with kids but not with other animals.

Story
Moose is a big gentle giant. He was my daughter’s dog as a puppy and when she moved out she was unable to have a dog. Me and my wife took him in for past 4 1/2 years but are now moving and can’t have multiple pets. He has been a great dog around our granddaughter that we babysit during the week. Needs grooming with his hair and always wants to be around the family. He has been around our cat since we took him and has no issues. Just can’t take him with us with moving and downsizing our home and HOA rules.

Story
Meet Tiberius Tiberius is a 7½‑year‑old mixed‑breed gentleman with a calm presence and a soulful expression that hints at a life full of stories we may never know. While your guess is as good as ours, we believe he may have some Akita in him, both in looks and in his thoughtful, reserved nature. He was surrendered to a local animal control shelter when his owner was moving, with little information left behind. Since then, Tiberius has understandably been shy and unsure, trying to make sense of a world that changed very suddenly for him. Despite his nerves, he has shown us that he is gentle, cooperative, and kind, allowing handling and walking on leash. The bright spot in Tiberius’s journey has been the steady work of our volunteer trainer, who has been spending regular time with him and the progress has been wonderful to see. With patience, consistency, and kindness, Tiberius is slowly gaining confidence and learning that people can be trusted again. He would thrive in a patient, low‑key home committed long‑term to continuing his confidence building. A second, confident, social dog in the home would be a huge bonus for Tiberius. He did well in playgroups at the shelter and seems to take comfort in canine companionship. Any resident dogs would need a meet‑and‑greet. Now in his golden years, Tiberius isn’t asking for much, just a soft landing place, a predictable routine, and someone willing to let him go at his own pace. In return, you’ll be giving a deserving old soul the chance to finally feel safe and settled. Tiberius will come neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and 4DX tested. If you believe in giving senior dogs the grace and patience they deserve, Tiberius may be waiting just for you. If you are serious about adoption, please fill out an adoption application on our website www.phoenixanimalrescue.com His adoption fee is $450. Story
ABOUT LUNA Meet princess Luna, a 4-year-old Husky mix seeking a patient, experienced owner who understands her unique personality. Luna arrived at HAP, scared and unsure of the world around her. While we don’t know her full history, it’s clear she has endured some hardships. It took her a while to trust us, so she may need patience at your first meeting, but once she feels safe, her true self shines through! Luna is a sweet, playful, and wonderfully goofy girl with a classic Husky sassiness. She’s vocal about her feelings, loves playing with toys of all kinds, and enjoys chasing tennis balls. She thrives spending time outside sniffing, running, and playing. Once inside, she loves to curl up on her fluffy blankets and chew on her bones. Luna has a “less is more” quality, she’ll leave you wanting more, and she appreciates a slower, respectful approach when first meeting new people. While Luna has been able to pass other dogs with redirection, she hasn’t made any canine friends yet and may do best as the only pet in a home where she can be the pampered princess. Once she feels comfortable, she seeks out and enjoys affection, but she communicates her boundaries clearly and may escalate if her space isn’t respected. For this reason, Luna would thrive with older, respectful family members who understand and honor her communication style. With patience, love, and understanding, Luna will grow into a loyal and loving companion who brings joy, laughter, and a touch of Husky mischief into your home! **If interested in adopting Luna, please reach out to our trainer, Ben Touchton, at btouchton@hapde.org Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.

He loves fetch but prefers having a new toy thrown before dropping the first. He ISW ok with dogs but appears not to know really how to respond to them. He appears housetrained and loves petting, brushing and spending time with people. He loves men. He likes to do laps in the yard or walk by you on a leash. He is fluffy like a husky makes no noises like a husky. He still has a lot of energy at times. He is medium to high energy. He is a happy, happy soul who entertains himself by doing laps in the yard or throwing and chasing his own toy if you are not there.
