I am looking for a new foster family 1/9! Please email fostersupport@thebondbetween.org if you can say YES to fostering this animal! Hi, my name is Sitka and I'm from Northern Minnesota. From her foster: This Akita puppy is a fluffy bundle of curiosity and confidence. At this age, they are playful, alert, and already showing the breed’s loyal and independent nature. Currently working on potty training and uses pee pads, while continuing to learn good habits. Story
Hi, my name is Kita and I'm from Northern Minnesota. Kita has blossomed into such a fun, sweet and playful girl. She is really enjoying being apart of a family and roaming the house. Kita gets so happy when my 11 and 9 year old wake up in the morning. We have two other dogs, one large and one small. They all walk really well together and coexist well inside. We still separate for night time and feeding. She doesn’t really pay attention to other dogs that we meet. She rarely barks. You can tell that she has a lot more to share and give and has a quiet demeanor. She has started to play with stuffies and even gives little cute love nibbles. Kita gives me a hug in the morning. I can tell that she really wants to run and I have taken her jogging a bit. Understandably so, she still has some nervousness with new people and new noises but she calmly stays away and then eventually joins us. She just needs some space at first. Kita also only had one accident in the house her first night. But she goes to the door when she needs to go out. She is also very smart and curious. We just love her pointy ears. I think she would thrive with a situation where she can get good exercise with an active person or couple or family. She has a lot more love to give. She also is okay when we have to take a high value treat away or lift up her food. She really is very sweet.

Story
Location: Minneapolis, MN Vicki is the sweetest pup, we absolutely adore her! She’s affectionate, smart, and energetic. Her blue eyes and expressive ears will melt anyone’s heart. She’s still working some puppy tendencies (e.g., chewing, jumping up) out of her system, but she’s doing well with crate training, walking, and learning tricks. She is also potty trained! For a husky, she’s remarkably quiet: she doesn’t bark, and only whines a little. Vicki is also a classic husky who needs LOTS of exercise (~2 hours per day) and mental stimulation. She does great with long walks (she does get very excited by squirrels and bunnies!) and would eventually be a great bike, run, or ski buddy with more leash training. She would probably love a fenced yard to play fetch and watch the birds, but it’s not absolutely necessary :). If she’s gotten the exercise and mental stimulation she needs, she just wants to flop down next to her people and get lots of belly rubs. She is good with other dogs and is very playful! She would probably do well as a solo dog or with another well-trained dog to show her the ropes and be a play buddy. She does have some separation anxiety and needs further training to be on her best behavior, so she’d do well with a family who is patient and dedicated to building her skills and independence. --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Story
Location: Annandale, MN Goblin is a super sweet, high-energy Husky mix looking for an active home that will help him grow into a confident, happy adult. He loves being outside, playing, and especially enjoys the snow. Goblin is expected to be a large dog when fully grown. He is almost fully potty trained, keeps his kennel clean, and knows some basic commands. Goblin is very smart and eager to learn, though he is still working on building confidence. New things can be scary for him at times, so he will need a patient adopter who is willing to continue positive training and reassurance. Goblin does well with other dogs and would benefit from having another confident dog in the home to help him feel secure. He may do well with dog-savvy cats, though he can be overly enthusiastic with affection. A large, securely fenced yard is required due to his size and energy level. If you’re looking for an affectionate, active companion and are willing to give Goblin the time and support he needs to build confidence, he could be a wonderful addition to your family. --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Story
Location: Harrisburg, SD Dorothy is quiet and gentle. She loves chew toys. She does well with kids and doesn’t mind cats but will growl if she does not know them well and they get in her space. Dorothy does have some anxiety and will need someone to be patient while she learns to not fear the leash or car rides. She’s not aggressive fearful, but will have an accident or lay down and cry if you try to take her somewhere new. This little lady does prefer her familiar spot wherever that may be in the house. She also will howl with her family which is the cutest! Dorothy is silly and so affectionate when she gets to know and trust you! She does a happy twirling tap dance when her favorite people come home or give her attention! --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org).
